For sale is my 1998 GSXR600 race or track bike. The bike is in rough shape and only runs on 3 cylinders. The one cylinder that doesn't fire only has 100psi compression. I rode the bike once and it worked perfectly, then I had gas leak into the oil and it never ran right afterword. The peacock and carbs were replaced/rebuilt after that but cyl 3 never fired. I don't have the time, patience, or desire to get this bike right. The body work is fiber glass and in rough shape, but repairable. The good is that the bike has a freshly rebuilt front end and Penske shock with 0 miles on each from GMD. It's also got a Scott's damper mount, stainless lines, rearsets and sliders. This is a bike for someone with a bit of time who wants to try track riding for short money. Take it out of my workshop please!

Nice pic! You look a little crossed up.
Any title for it?
Damn, that's a great deal for a first trackday bike.
$500 is throwaway money.

I forwarded this to a friend, he's not looking for a track bike, but I would like him to be.
Nobody bought that for real?
That's worth buying just to wheelie and drop in the front straight.
Or even to bring down to Daytona to do the endurance race on.
I can think of worse things lol
Ahh what the hell, PM sent. You're close to me!
I can't believe this is still for sale, realistically what will it take to make it rideable besides the dead cylinder and I'd assume fresh rubber/fluids. I'm very very interested but won't have the cash till the end of the month or beginning of next when my taxes come in, (my paper works all done just waiting on the 19th when the irs starts accepting them) if you still have it I will definitely take it off your hands.
Go for it, Mike!
Go fast. Have fun. Repeat.
who says you need a dirt bike for ice riding!!!!!!!!!!
