FS: 1998 Honda VFR800Fi

I picked this up a couple weeks ago with the intention of dailying it while I tear down my current daily 900RR.
But my coworker just agreed to sell me his mint 1998 GSXR750 SRAD for a killer deal so I don't need this one.

It's got 27k (IIRC) and runs well -it's all stock as well. The Italian Red paint shines up well but I'm sure a professional detail would do wonders.
It needs tires which I bought a pair of good Pilot Powers from TheIglu and have yet to install so they will be included with the bike. I also have a pair of OEM mirrors and a windscreen on the way.

Clean title in hand!

5th gen is supposed to be a great vintage. last of the gear driven cams. I kinda want one but not right now.

98-01 is 5th gen => EFI 800cc, but still gear driven cams and no variable valve timing (aka 'vtec'). IMO this is the most desirable VFR.
If this were posted ~3 weeks ago, I'd probably be the OP's buyer.

Importantly, 98-99 => no catalytic converter. All the VFR dudes (well, except for those riding an 98 or 99) seek out the cat-less headers. TBR made a full exhaust system for the 5th gen's but good luck finding one of those now
