I'm selling my McCulloch HID kit that will work with any size and color HID bulbs. I had them installed on my R6 for 1 season, then took them off when I bought an R1 and haven't used them since. Probably about 5k miles on the bike w/ the bulbs installed (which is nothing because these are the best quality ballasts money can buy and they basically last forever). Here's a pic of one of the ballasts and all the wiring included:

The only thing I'm not including in the kit is the bulbs. You can buy some on ebay that will work with the McCulloch kit for pretty cheap. (About $35. I can help you find some if you'd like. There's tons for sale.)
McCulloch was one of the original HID creators, and probably make the absolute best quality HID kits in the industry. Just an example that shows the quality of McCulloch... most companies offer a 2 year warranty, including xenonking.com. (But buying the new McCulloch kit is very expensive. The cheapest complete kit I can find is on ebay for $226 shipped. Xenonking sells the kit for $280.)

Both ballasts work, I tested them individually last night with 10k HID bulbs. If you want pictures of my ballasts up close then I can get them tonight. They're in perfect condition.
So all in all, for sale is the entire McCulloch HID kit, except the bulbs. Brand new the ballasts on ebay are $76 shipped, or $152 shipped for 2. I'll sell both McCulloch ballasts for $110 shipped anywhere in the US.

What bulb interface connecter is on the end? I understand it will work with any HID bulb but what connecter for the car side?

Where on the bike did you drill the ballast to and did you just follow stock wiring from the battery. Sorry I am a mechanical idiot.

So hopefully I can answer your questions here...
I'm not sure what you mean exactly by interface connector. And not sure what you mean by car side. But ballasts aren't specific for any car or bike, only the bulbs are. So these McCulloch ballasts will basically fit anything you drive. Regardless, I took pictures of everything up close which should explain everything.
First of all, here's a picture of one of the ballasts, and an H1 bulb (H1 bulb not included). (And for clarification, I am selling 2 ballasts, not just the one you see. The other one is temporarily installed on my 07 R6 for pictures.)
In the picture you can see where the red wire and the blue wire from the bulb directly fit the red and blue wires coming from the ballast. As long as the bulbs have those two wires then they'd be compatible w/ the HID kit. See the image below which shows the connectors and the wires going into the dust cap (which I drilled a hole in and fitted the rubber gasket thing in the hole for a tight seal).
The other black wire that you see going into the rubber gasket thing has a black and a white wire inside it which go into a stock connector that's used with the stock headlight set up. (See the picture below to see how and what the wires are connected to)
These next 3 pictures simply show where I had the ballasts mounted on my 06 R6. (This is definitely the hardest part of the installation, simply finding room for the ballasts. But if I fit them in my 06 R6, they should fit on ANYTHING. lol.)
Now out thumped...to answer your question:
These will be GREAT for your ride home. As you'll see in the pictures below, the HID kits are super bright. As long as you don't have the high beams on when cars are coming at you, you will not drive them off the road. By law headlights need to be adjusted at a certain height. Therefore oncoming cars will not get blinded, assuming you have your headlights adjusted to the right height (which they would be as long as you haven't changed the adjustment in the headlights, which is basically just turning a screw. The screws can angle the bulbs up and down as well as widening or tightening the spread of the light across the road).
These next few pictures, which were taken on my 06 R6 w/ 12k HID's, powered by the McCulloch ballasts. (12k HID's are 2.5 x's brighter than stock halogen bulbs. 6k's put out the most light but are basically pure white. After 6k, he higher you go in k's, the more color ouputted but the duller the bulbs will get. But even at 12k you can see the light output is amazing.)

You can get H4 HID's with any color/brightness on ebay for about $25 shipped. Here's just 1 example:

There are HUNDREDS of bulbs like these on ebay. You can just search H4 HID bulbs. The only thing you need to make sure is that the bulbs come with the AMP Connectors, like the one in the above example, so they can plug into the ballasts wires.

Not to thread jack or anything, but some of the information given is not entirely correct. Referring back to blinding oncoming traffic and other drivers you may be behind...
When using a HID setup in a housing that was designed for a halogen bulb you will ALWAYS be blinding other people on the road at night. The HID and the halogen bulbs put the light beams out differently, and the reflector housing behind the bulb is designed around the light hitting it a certain way. The HID setup will throw the light both high and low. The only way to control this is using a projector housing with a shroud and removing the reflector housing. This will focus the light straight and also the shroud gives you a cutoff point for the light. So if you just take this and throw it in your housing how it is now you will blind a lot of people on the road with you.
Alternatively, if you use this as your high beams if you are mainly concerned with safety then it would probably never pose a problem to other people since when you see another driver you (or you should be) switching back to low beams until its just you on the road again.
I see a lot of motorcycle riders just throwing these in their bikes and they work fine. It gives them a lot more visibility although will blind others.
And with that said, if you pair this kit with the right pieces you can have yourself a very nice HID setup, but it will require some retrofitting and basic fabrication to get it all sitting right. With the propper shroud and everything you will have a precise light cutoff line which you can adjust with your stock headlight adjustment screws. I just wanted to clarify there.
Also, if anyone is interested in these to do a retro-fit I can point you in the direction of people who do these on the R6 and you can see what is involved, or if you have an R6 you can send it out and have them fit them for you.
