I am listing this to gauge interest. I'm graduating from college in may and will probably be moving to the west coast, so this bike will sit and rot if I don't return to RI. LA living is costly, so I could use the cash.
I'm going to be as honest and informative with this listing for anyone who is interested. It would be shown by my dad and is located in Portsmouth, RI if a viewing is wanted.
It is a Kawasaki 1995 ZX-750L3 with 21,5xx miles or so. I purchased it in 2006 with 16K miles on it as my first bike and have been a mild rider with it, trying to keep up on maintenance as much as I could. I've changed the oil when necessary, though it'll need another now. It needs some love. I ended up only riding during the summer and had little time to upkeep the small things. It runs just fine, and definitely straight. It is coming up to the point of more than likely needing a new chain and sprocket. The carbs most likely could use a cleaning. I think this would be a great tracker, even though she's a heavy beast. Fast, fun, cheap and it has served me well.
It has rash on both side fairings, the front fairing, and general wear and scrapes elsewhere. The turn signals do not work. I spent alot of time working on the electrical system and only progressed to making all of the LED turn signals light up at once. I was told it may be an issue with the signals being LED and not being compatible with the voltage of the older bulb system. It was like this when I purchased it.
Clean title, but comes with a story: A month after I got it an old man backed into it, knocking it over. It bent both clutch/front break levers, the right handlebar and snapped the right foot break/peg bracket. The insurance company paid it out as a loss (I thought?) but keeping the bike. I fixed all the necessary issues, but when I went to make sure all my paperwork was in order there was nothing wrong. I was sent registration renewals, it passed inspections and I even had a state trooper run my plate to see if it was flagged - no hit. Either I misinterpreted what the insurance pegged it as or due to RI not needing titles on bikes this old it didn't require salvage paperwork. I'm telling this story because I have no idea if there would be issues for someone else registering it elsewhere, but everything I've done leads me to believe that it's clean and the title can be signed over.
I purchased all the parts to fix it from the knockover, but never got around to replacing the front levers or the right handlebar. These parts are included with the sale.
I think asking $2k is decent, it could be parted for just as much and runs great anyway for any kind of use someone could put it to. Cheers.
Edit: Here's a bunch of photos I had taken today of the bike. Another small thing of note is that the left fairing bracket is missing and the fairing itself is busted where the bracket would go. It's not problematic at all though.

Bump, pictures added.
Is the left frame rail dented near the clip-on?
![]()
There is a bit of an indentation where the handlebar probably hit the frame in a lowside. That was done by previous owners, I've never dropped it.
It rides extremely straight, I've put 5000 miles on it as is and never had issues. I don't believe there's been any warping of the frame if that's what you're asking, it is pretty small imo.
One more bump.
Willing to take $1800.
God Damn it, if I didn't have that one bill hanging over my head, I'd buy it! But hten again............Hmmmmmmm! Thinking!

You can pick it up in RI with a uhaul trailer or you can bring your own plates and ride off with it if that's your thing. The bike is in RI, I am in Georgia and the deal will be facilitated through my father. Easy, quick sale. Like I said, wednesday or saturday is necessary for viewing or pickup if you want to buy it outright.
Cheers,
Rich
Can't do it, sorry Rich. Good Luck.

Bikeless
Lowballers.
I think $1650 is quite fair for the mileage and condition, considering the fact that its a running, rideable 750cc 4cyl bike... I bought it only 5k miles ago at 2300.
