    FS: Wheels straightenned/powdercoated/polished

    Hey guys,

As some of you know our new sponsor does some of the best work in new england for powdercoating/polishing and paint work. I am trying to thank him for his support, and help you guys out buy bringing him some work.

His prices are on a case by case basis but are generally as follows:

Powdercoating $100 per wheel, metalics $125 per wheel, Candy colors $135 per wheel (with cush drive/bearings/rotors removed).

Straightenning ranges from $40 to $120 per wheel (cheapest I've found).

He can paint NEW condition bodywork for $400 for solid colors, additional colors/schemes need to contact him.

If you can get the parts to me, or the track I will bring them back and forth for you to save on shipping expenses. I have a pair of front wheels I'm going to try and repair asap.

Let me know if you guys need quotes on other parts (engine covers, levers, frames, swing-arms, etc.) I have a pretty detailed price list from him.

Check out his previous work he's been in business for years, and recently moved here from Long Island. Next Generation Custom Powder Coating Metal Polishing and Paint Service for Motorcycles, Bikes and Cars in Massachusetts

    Re: FS: Wheels straightenned/powdercoated/polished

    I need the following:

    Swingarm (braced)
Exhaust hangers/passenger pegs (will separate peg from hanger)
Subframe (welded tube, not the newer forged 1-pc kind)
    Passenger pegs (peg only)

...in a black very slightly textured finish which closely matches the stock matte finish used on frames today.

Maybe fr/rr rims in a gloss black too.

Can PM me a total price and I'll compare to a shop I've used before. Also - details on warranty? I assume just for defects relating to application (obvious peeling not related to wear & damage)?

    Subframe - $75
    Swingarm - $175
exhaust hangers (if its a pair) - $60
    pegs (pair) - $45

    Total: $355

It's possible that a 10% texture fee will be applied (I can find out for sure if you choose next generation - or you can call them yourself).

looks like somewhere around $225 based on the price list. Turn around is 1 day if you need it to be.

    edit:
I dont want anyone to think im making a dime on this stuff! im just losing out on gas money carting it from the track to the shop! I am doing this to try and give back to the sponsor, so if you want the bottom-dollar quotes feel free to give rob a call.

    Re: FS: Wheels straightenned/powdercoated/polished

since i buggered up my stock 848 wheels, i was thinking of powdercoating them eventually. Is there a "swatch" available of the colors he can do? I'm looking for a certain color that other shops i've asked do not have available.

    probably $100.

If it's race stuff, I'll do it for ya... but if your looking for show quality, he'd probably get $100 for a tail.

you can link to his site from the motoaddiction site. He should have colors on there, or you can call him. I was under the impression there's not a color he can't/won't do.

    Re: FS: Wheels straightenned/powdercoated/polished

Humm I have a spare front rim for my 05 R1 that has a minor bend in the outer lip. It wasn't bad enough to loose air or cause the front end to wobble, but did cause the tire to wear a little funny. I have it sitting here but if it's reasonablely repairable it might be worth doing. I was told that you couldn't straiten motorcycle rims - go figure.

    Re: FS: Wheels straightenned/powdercoated/polished

Andy, he just straightened 3 wheels out for me... you sure can straighten mc wheels, however they tend to be slightly susceptible to re-bending in the same areas.

Next Generation uses a hot press to get them back in. My front wheel needed to be trued, as well as a flat spot rounded... I'd rather have a slightly weaker rain wheel than spend $250 on another wheel.

    Re: FS: Wheels straightenned/powdercoated/polished

For the record, He just fixed Denno's rear (slight flat in the rear rim) for $40, and fixed my front for $60... These prices seem more than fair.

Blade Rider - I think that they'll fix that wheel for ya.
