FS: Selmer Bundy II Alto Saxophone

I posted this a while ago and never got around to selling it. Looking on CL these go 3-4 hundred. Great starter horn especially if you have a kid/student, I used it for many years.

I'll sell it for $300 cash money.

I pulled it out and played it briefly the other day, seems to work totally fine and sounds nice. Comes with neck and mouthpiece... some reeds kicking around the box. You may decide you want to get your own mouthpiece and new reeds, but it plays as-is.

Have you called your local elementary/middle schools yet? this is the time that rentals start to go out, and for that price, way better than a rental. again, i'll let my dad know it's still around if he knows of anyone, but he's retiring this year, so if it's still around next year, you're on your own

No I haven't called the schools. I did put it on craigslist.

I guess I could call the schools but typically I didn't think they would want me soliciting unless I was going to donate it (?), which I'm not doing since I need the money.

Different schools have different policies I guess, but I think a personal email to the music teacher saying you have a great student horn available (with a link to your ad) wouldn't be seen as solicitation so much as mutually beneficial. I am not saying that you try and sell to the school (they usually have programs through various suppliers for that), but open the lines of communication between you and students who may not know otherwise. A lot of parents don't shop on CL (sketchballs), and many parents of students who are in band don't know anything about where to get stuff.

Nice dude. I thought about getting back into it but I just can't make it a priority. So hopefully someone will pick this up, it's a good starter horn and perfect for a student.

I had a Selmer Bundy that I played in HS.
A few years ago, I also tried to sell it.
Music Stores were selling them for $250 to $300 (reconditioned) with full warranties.
The best price I could get was $100.
Eventually, I quit trying and gave it to my niece, who collects instuments and plays them all.
