The RM125 is too much for my friend to ride and we are looking for a full-size, rider-friendly, 4-stroke woods bike.
We're not offering any money in a trade, but if you have an XR250 or DR250 + cash, we'll consider it.
I want to trade it for an XR250R, and would rather keep it instead of sell it to go through the hassle of buying another bike.
Bike details:
-1998 RM125
-starts/runs strong
-recent Eric Gorr 144 big bore kit (~30? hours)
-hot crank
-barnett clutch
-FMF shorty (also comes with a used, re-packed OEM pipe)
-gripper seat (not sure which brand)
-reeds in good shape (no chips in corners)
-moose aluminum hand guards with plastic covers
-new moose air filter
-chain and sprockets fine
-excel rims with thick spokes and tires that have ~10 rides on them...good overall shape
-front brakes good
-The carbs were recently cleaned out completely, and jetted with a 55 pilot, 170 main jet, needle 3rd position, air screw 1-1/2 turns out
Notes:
-I don't know how to make it idle
-rear brake lever is loose and jingles when riding
-needs new rear pads and rotor (I have brand new pads, with another rear rotor...ready to install, but the brake pin is slightly round, you might need an EZ out to get it out)
-chain is a little loose and should be adjusted
-two small holes drilled in tail plastic to mount plate, but plate was relocated, and holes remain
-It's fast!
