Hey all - just wondering if anyone knows the history on this bike.
Bought it off of Idratherberidin yesterday.
Hoping to find out if any mods were done to it so I know what to look for. Sprocket size is 13:52 ... I know I need to RTFM but the stock size isn't in the manual
I know the history It use to be Mine. I never had to anything with it but put gas in it.

Do you need to be dual sported for Franklin? I only go with a NH sticker and have nothing else.
I have been There 4 Times and every time the Fish Police have been there. Hassling people

I'm either going to western mass to ride with Kitt saturday or clough one or both days. NH reg for clough, no reg for Kitt's place. Congrats son the new bike, we're going to have to adjust the suspension or you'll be miserable in the woods. The power will put your XR to shame.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
The XR rocks, dont knock it.
No reg needed at highsider's.![]()
That is a great fuckin bike... old and not pretty but it runs like a champ.
Starts easy, runs strong.
I have watched Daniel make a 40 ft geyser of mud with that thing.

Suspension is nice and cushy- probably won't have the yz up and running by this weekend - need to recover the seat, put oil in the case - see if its still pulling, hopefully paint the plastics... then it should be good to go.
I may take you up on that on the xr though. Keep me UTD on where you decide to go! All my stuff is at home in MA so all I need to do is load up and out the door.
so there might be a slow/beginner dirt-ride soon?
<-6', 140lbs, XR80R...noob
Bring it up to clough sometime. There is a pretty good variety of trails, kind of suits all riding levels. Tim
Hey KB!
Idratherberidin gave me some good info on it but he didn't have it for very long - told me he got it from someone on here so I figured I'd post to see more details. B.Squirrel gave me the detailed DL . Very helpful!
So far: All plastics off - cleaned - ready for paint and zip ties for broken pieces.
Cleaned air filter + air filter box, bought new air filter and installed - keeping old as spare.
Pulled clutch basket (holy crap that bolt was on tight!) Used jewlers file and sandpaper to take burrs off of basket. Reordered plates - were in wrong order when I got it already disassembled. - Had serious adventure in using redi-gasket LOL Discovered I hadn't lined up the clutch lever on the casing right so I had to pull off and put back on a few times
Put case cover on left side back on.
Replaced broken clutch perch (finally got righty tighty lefty loosy down)
Tightened front sprocket bolt - was only finger tight!
Props to Sheppo and Billerica Motorsports for hooking me up with various parts and fluids. Also Sheppo for valuable advice and support.
I don't know how much luck you're going to have putting paint on plastics.
Bhav, she's not a noob dirt rider by any means, and unless you're 8 years old that 80 is only good for a pitbike. Melissa was on an XR250 for her beginner ride and this 125 is a major step up in power.

You will have fun in the Parking area Of franklin. a 125 2 stroke is the smallest you can get away with there. Its real single track.
time to step it up
