I still love the smell of burnt racing fuel in the morning!
That is a sweet ride. Ring a ding ding. Love the fact you went with a 2 stroke.

Holly fucking sweetness!
will it wheelie?
Hell ya!
Went riding yesterday at Milestone and Day 2 was much better. By the end of the day I had all the main jumps on the Main track figured out and am starting to feel comfy on the bike. I'll tell you what, this thing has some nut! It rips wheelies no problem with it doing power wheelies through 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. (haven't hit 5th yet). Just lean back anywhere and it lofts the front over bumps. Felt much better on the Milestone jumps too and could start flicking it around in the air. I do have to get the suspension fixed ASAP. Front is too soft, would bottom HARSH sometimes landing jumps that really shouldn't cause it to bottom that hard.
You can totally ride one of these 'lazy' if you like. Has good mid-range. Few places I'd be tired and just cruising and I'd leave the bike a gear high and lug it through the corner. It'd roll out of the turn, get going, and have no problem clearing the next jump. Yea when you are 'on it' you are going to be shifting more and fanning the clutch but I had no problem being a tired lazy bastard on it
Hopefully next time can score some action shots.

Gotta say that iPhone 4 takes some damn fine photographs. That and Orange Rehab looks snazzy with the Katoom.

Sweet bike. I saw one at razee's. it was sold upon arrival. A proper dirt bike, 2T and modern. Good luck with it. A friend raced the 150sx in nesc 50+ and did great on it. Replaced it with the 250sx but he didn't race 2012 and its for sale right now. Tempting.

Found out today one of my buddies from roadrace paddock is now in charge of WP Suspension (oem ktm) in the US... Think I found my suspension guy! Also bumped into Donnie Elmer Jr of FMF down Daytona & once a few more pennies are saved up it'll be time to get pipe/silencer on there... Can't wait to ride again!
Thx for all the props. Bike is def better than the rider![]()

I love the fact that MXA revisited this comparison. I have always loved 2-stroke enduro bikes, but since riding in New England requires a plate, 4-strokes are the only option. Getting older has a lot to do with it as well, both in terms of diminishing physical and mental endurance, and financial ability to maintain a high strung 4 stroke.
I still love to ride a well set up 2-stroke, but the new 4-stroke enduro bikes are better suited to this aging, longer distance, trail rider. I just wish they were quieter - all of them.
Maybe E-bikes of the future will upset the entire apple cart....
