Case a double?
btw, the track is still beginner friendly, but you do have to pay attention to your speed when approaching the doubles. If you're gonna roll it, really slow down.
dont know, wish they had vid of the crash. i dont see how you could case anything at CH that hard to BREAK a modern frame. crazy.
i'm avoiding work... Paul, what Japanese 4-strokes have you interested? are you looking for any particular brand or whatever is rated good? i thought you were becoming a dyed-in-the-wool KTM guy so I'm curious where you're heading next.
I don't really know what I'm looking for. I'm just looking for something a little mellower than the 125, both in terms of power delivery as well as handling. I'm still on the fence though as keeping the 125 is cheapest...
makes sense.. .
So boots, chest protector, pants, long sleeves? Thats easy enough. My bike actually has a very strong idle surprisingly (not high, just reliable), so if it goes down, it stays running, this doesn't cause a problem with track rules?
Looks like a good time, I'm gonna try to make it out before the season is over since I know i won't be able to afford a track day on my road bike, lol.
You guys will have to show me the ropes...and yes, I am completely that guy with a bike that way exceeds his needs, but i got an unbelievable deal, and I'm having the time of my life riding trails.
nah, no worries about the idle if the bike is in good working order. they dont have tech inspection for bikes but i assume they scope what comes in.
yup, standard MX gear is the ticket. the more you can afford to wear, the better IMO, knee guards and true MX boots are a real good idea. its not a race but there are other riders around you so care has to be taken to stay in your line. no worries about speed but a clean line is safer for everyone. especially if the classes are mixed. as Paul mentioned, the doubles have been getting more technical so just do a slow slighting lap your first run out, everything is rollable.
def give it a try, you'll have a blast!
for anyone looking to pick up some gear cheap, MotoSport is having a sale right now on a few Fox lines... $70 for pants and a jersey is a STEAL!
