I'm using it like an anti-stall. It's pretty nice for that. I'm not sold on selling it quite yet. We'll see how much I end up using it once I get some hours on this thing.

Sorry I missed this, but what year & model is your KTM? For instance, my '05 300 EXC has a Rekluse clutch underneath a stock KTM cover because Rekluse simply don't make a cover for older bikes. I know because I tried to buy a Rekluse cover..
If you want to go back to a stock clutch setup, it'll cost you some money. You'll may need a new basket and new fibers; you will need new steels, a new inner pack, new outer pack.. I don't think it's worth it. Yeah, you could sell the Rekluse to get some money back, but with KTM parts prices I don't think it's worth it.
I'm far from a KTM expert but I did rebuild my Rekluse and seemingly did it correctly. If you want me to drive out and give you an extra set of eyes, I'm happy to do so.

I have all the stock clutch parts. Came with the bike.
No issue with my Rekluse, so no need for a rebuild at this point.

Put all back together. Drained out the contents of the transmission and topped it up with .7l of the highest performance motorcycle specific purpose formulated specialized oil Rotella ever made.
Fired her up yesterday, but it's time to do a carb rebuild. Last time I had it apart to jet for cold weather, the bowl seal was dry/cracked and the float stuck open/closed. It's still doing this and I want to make it right (shocking).
Can't find any aftermarket carb rebuild kits for this Mikuni for a reasonable price. Really all I need is the needle/seat and carb bowl gasket. OEM is stupid money. Any leads?

What's a reasonable price? The Moose kits I've got in the past are always around $40.
I went to MMI I know what Im doing here chief
If they made one that included the carb bowl gasket and needle/seat, I'd of gotten it by now, unless I'm a useless human being and missed the specific one that fits my bike. $40 is plenty reasonable.

Yeah, looks like JetsRUs has a rebuild for about $41. Mystery solved.

The All-Balls kit solved the weeping countershaft issue. No more drips!
Pulling the carb one night this week to plop into the ultrasonic cleaner, then the full rebuild she gets. Also going to swap back to warmer weather jetting.

You know, I've never bothered to clean the carb on mine.
Mine really needs nothing but a jet swap. I already swapped the running gear back from ice => woods. Only rode it on the ice once last year.. kind of felt like a dog compared to the new WR on cheater screws. Mine wants a fresh top end, silencer repack, suspension & bearing service and some pipe repair. It'll probably get none of that this year. So sorry. Also I feel I should probably pull the clutch and measure; it was doing some odd things occasionally late last fall.
Aside from the butter soft (but light!) cases and fastners, this thing is actually pretty bulletproof. Not quite DRZ bulletproof. But not the Euro princes I expected her to be. Yay two smokes!
If you start with a clean carb, and don't let it sit for a long time with old gas or abuse it with a dirty filter, it shouldn't NEED cleaning.
Yeah, I typically never need to clean out the carbs on bikes I own.
But, the float sticks both on and off on this thing. No way around doing a clean/rebuild. Once it's done, should be just fine. But having to tap the bowl with a hammer to get it started or to have it stop pissing fuel all over my garage is getting old.
I'll consider doing a clutch lever after I finally start riding it.

I'm actually sick right now, 4th or 5th sinus infection of the year. Pho is the only thing keeping me going.

Never had a sinus infection before this year. This is my second time, a secondary infection after getting the flu 12 days ago.

Like your young children, you'll need to (re)build tolerances for all these germs you ain't seen since you were young and in school (or wherever you petri-dished yourself).
