Yeah, at that price I'd go Honda as well.

that was my thinking. lots of happy Pulsar/Westinghouse/WEN buyers but plenty of '3 years later it crapped' feedback. i'm going to try running my house off the Honda. (critical circuits)

yeah? Were at like 100 hours and have put gas, oil, a couple chains, tires, and clutch plates in it (though, Im pretty sure I could have just adjusted the clutch). What problems did you have? although, the rear brake never holds a bleed, poor kid never has rear brakes.

you got lucky :spit: ridiculous platform but also just the norm. dad we sold the GG to had same exact experience as many of us. clutches, boiling over, jetting, blah, blah. ours ran like a top but not without constant attention and tweaking. the Cobra 50 before it was more solid (motor) but also just as much of a bitch. i wrote it all off as just the way it is. never been put off by two-stroke anything before until i bought a KTM 50.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the boiling over, we DEFINITELY had that lol.
65 with a clutch is next for him I think, 85 for her, then he can move up to her 85 after? IDK. Just piss out money I guess.
Re: Next mini project, SX-E5 BW
we love the 65, and ive mentioned the mods, that one may stick around after both are done with it. ripper even with my weight on it. so fun ... 80/85 next season for the older one.
Re: Next mini project, SX-E5 BW
did a generator charge test run over weekend, battery was dead-dead, got into the third bar lit up after 45min which manual says is 70-100% charge. i'm assuming a hair over 70% because i ran the gen for 1hr, then plugged into house power another 30min and still not totally topped off.
pretty happy with that, not far off from the orig spec in the book (~45min for 80% charge) and shows next week we can take a lunch break and get some juice back fairly quick. also didn't realize in map 3 that he likes right now for regular riding will regen battery when the throttle is closed.

pretty cool that the Honda has Bluetooth with an app for monitoring. charging started off around ~750VA until the first bars were full then jumped to ~1020VA for rest of the charge. the charger itself has a rating of 900W.

Re: Next mini project, SX-E5 BW
major success, kid loves the bike and it fits him perfect. we hit NC last week, owned the entire joint: Cape Fear ATV & MX Park.
