dude, seriously, I'm trying to register for something that looks like fun, and had a couple legit questions about it that I couldn't find an answer to on the site and thought someone here could help me with. That last question about running in 250 was actually from another forum member, who asked me on the phone since I'm trying to register us both so we can both go have some fun.

Forgive me for trying to get some info about a riding event, on a riding forum, in the thread about that riding event. I figure it's better to ask some questions here than it is to register in a class I have absolutely no business in and end up getting in the way of the faster guys and fucking up the race.

ya, this event is really for fun....no big restrictions on cc and skill level and all that...this isn't like an organized NEMX, NESC, LRRRS event...no AMA required

haha nice, ya I looked at the results a few years later and my buddy brody was in the same class as me and got like 2nd, this was before I knew who the hell he was and now he's a pro freestyle rider

damn true...pros they ruled no 250s in the lites class this year but as far as I know that is not sticking for local racing. I am pretty sure I am allowed to run my 250 2stroke in lites classes for NEMX this year. holeshots:beerbang:

BTW, I heard a rumor that NEMX might be all done.

Im still on the fence. The sticking point is I cant get Kates to go so I dont have a way for my bike to get there and I dont have someone yelling at me for my motivation. I might just make the trip to watch.

that would blow! but no as of now its on as scheduled

so, for someone who has never rode a dirtbike in their life, would it be doable to seek out a loaner bike and give this a go? lol. Mark's constant badgering yesterday made me feel like a girlie man.

totally, I mean if you're really really new/out of your element, just know to get out of the way for the most part when alot of other bikes are around

you'll be fine Mike. you already know how to race and know to stay on your line. we'll get you out before this and let you get some seat time as well.

Hey Dank... What you could do to decrease your 3 posts in a row is to edit your post and add to the first one, especially if no one has responded yet.

That way it looks like 1 post instead of 3. (and you won't annoy the likes of Biggles) :D

Both, if I can find a running dirty toy sub $1K I will buy, otherwise I will borrow. My program manager at Sheldon's has an old kdx I could most likely borrow.

so we have like 5 or 6 people doing never ever and 30c huh. going to be a good ol nesr time!

Perfect. That's what my spare bike was (kdx). It's soft for MX, but has a great motor and for newbie speeds, soft is good!

Good call. I'll keep that in mind for the future. Only downside is that then I won't get to annoy the likes of Biggles :teehee: Guess I'll leave this one as-is and consider the edit button in the future.

I figure what the hell. It's an interent forum, I'm not losing sleep over it at night. I'm a new guy, I've got questions. That shit happens. At least my questions are legit, and I follow through. I ask about a race bike, then heed the advice I get and buy one. Find pit bikes that seem like a good deal, and they both go to NESR guys. I even went and bought/delivered one of them for a certain NESR guy ;) I was asking questiosn here because I'm entering in this race and want to make sure I'm not in the wrong class and in the way of the fast guys. At least i've got a bike to ride in the damn thing. :teehee:
