I've got the $100 MSR boots... I like them so far?
Glad you are not too bad off!
I found even more black and blue spots today!
I never buy a woman's shoe or boot for anything other than a wedding. Women stuff is made like crap, right down to my Merrell boots.
I was actually looking at some Fox F3 boots, but given this feedback I will do some more research. Thanks everyone.
And Joel, I wear a Men's 8 - 8 1/2
Those are some serious boots! :jackie:
I got some half decent Fox boots (Comp 5 maybe?) for cheap off Newenough.com back when they still sold dirty gear. They've been holding up alright & seem pretty good, but then again I've never worn "real" dirty boots. :dunno:
Definitely get a kidney belt. They're stupid cheap and really help keep your insides in place in rough terrain. Really helps with endurance.
Wheelie it yet?
I assume it's a kid, but they've been up on cl for a while now.
If you still need boots when next race weekend comes around, let me know. I can try to find my A* Tech 7s. Nothing wrong with them, I'll give you a good deal on them. I wear a size 8.5 shoe, they fit about perfect.
I have a Moose chest protector, hard elbow pads, and a kidney belt in my race trailer now. Might have knee/shin pads too if you're interested.
If you're still looking in October, swing by Garage 17N and you can try it on. All stupid cheap for a new dirt rider!
Last Saturday i broke my upper ankle in a brand new* pair of tech 3's
ankle is stable so no surgery, but it would have been cheaper to buy a $550 pair of sidi's than deal with this crap.

I see motocross as this.....
Everytime I ride, I expect to crash
What I worry most is
1. Am I awake?
2. Can I feel everything ?
3. Can i get up by myself ?
4. Is anything broken ?
If all 4 are no... then RIDE ON :)
