I am registered and will attempt to get an inspection sticker soon, but I can drive it anywhere and tool on it!

I have till mid afternoon Saturday to play!
Sunday may have to be the two wheel dirty toy day!

Saturday morning, I'll take you out in Ashburnham up Old County Road like we did on the MT bikes earlier this year. Waterworld is probably a lot drier right now but should still be fun.

Perhaps I'll take the FJ but odds are I'll be takin the Taco.

This thing isn't all that good off road, or I am just inexperienced?
I took it to a Sand Pit last night and had a hard time getting up two hills. I think it was too steep and too soft for the jeep. I made it up about 3/4 of the way up a steep grade that was about 500' and maybe a 20% grade maybe? in soft sand in 4XH with a running start, then just to try another approach I try a similar hill in 4XL and slowly worked my way up only making it 5/8 up. We shall see how I do Sat... Should be fun no matter what.

Should I get my CB hooked up?

i wish i could go but i messed up my jeep on sunday on the way home, i slid on an onramp and hit the cement barrier and bent up some axle stuff and maybe the axle itself? anyone have a welder so i can start fixing this bitch?

I got a 230v arc welder that you can use, though I'm pretty sure you will want to use a MIG for that....

Mike, Jeep's are not that good in the sand. Also open/open is no good in the sand.

We'll give the thing a good test this weekend. I also have to be done by 2 or so.

You lose at looking things up!

Open differentials. You don't have a locker or limited slip on your front (open) or rear (open) axle. You have essentially a 2wd vehicle, that's all. True 4wd needs to deliver power to all 4 wheels, not the 2 of least resistance.

It's a natural upgrade. Some people do suspension, huge tires, blah blah blah but lockers will get you more places than anything else. Tires help but when push comes to shove, lockers matter more. Then again you are a flashy all show no go truck kinda guy so you'll probably get a suspension lift and tires first

S'ok, I just somewhat resolved my lean condition on the carb of the FJ, so perhaps next time I'll be takin that instead of the Taco!

Unless someone buys it first of course....
