but how would having hundreds of license plates help them? what if they see a speeding sport bike there gonna send out hundreds of tickets or watch the video to see on that looks like who ever ran?
speeders... of course. Lots of assholes have to bounce off the rev limiter 'cause it's cool. The whole loud is better on the piped. A few years ago it was wheelies and burnouts. Steve stopped those.. so use your heads and it will blow over.
yeah if something happens at one of these events expect a phone call ... they have ur number mwahahha more pics please!
so when did richw get a zx14?
The issue is lifting up of a jacket to video tape the plate.
Seriously, If you are not guilty you have nothing to be afraid of.
Hell, I'll take a picture of my plate and mail it to em if they would like. :D
Maybe they ARE profiling... :dunno: Maybe they are looking for stolen, unregistered, illegal bikes :dunno:
Either way, If you don't fit the profile and you are legal. Who gives a fuck. Buy em a Bagel and a coffee and say thanks for looking out for us officer. :D They really are not ALL out to get us. Some of them ARE us. :beerbang:
Ok, all things being equal.... both sides are right, my issue tonight was touching my stuff in order to take a picture "video" of my plate and helmet.... I'm taking care of MY problem myself. They CAN take video just like anyone else (who might even be casing to steal bikes at a later date).... They cannot touch your personal property period, and unfortunately a confrontation is probably not the correct avenue, they have cuffs and cruisers... = your loss every time. Now Ive been told they were checking underneath my bike and the comment was "his exhaust is illegal, look how short it is" not overheard by a NESR member but another individual who happened to be looking at my bike and knows me. Shows the "experts" they have working for the state... This isn't steve or motorcycle nights fault at all. State Police have jurisdiction practically everywhere from what I gather (correct me if im wrong). I left a little early with Rich and Jay b/c I was frustrated, seems I have a short fuse but don't like anybody touching my gear.
Nick
My shits legal.
Im more concerned with the hot sluts with tits.
Ok, I can see the point with them touching your stuff. Not cool.
I can see the point about the officers not being versed in what is legal on a motorcycle. They need education.
2 suggestions.
1. You could... File a complaint and call a newspaper or write an editorial, get people involved the correct way.
2. Cooperate with police, educate them as to what is street legal, work with them to educate others. Break the stereotype and show them we are not a bunch of punks with illegal pipes whio run from them every chance we get.
