I cant remember, its been a while but is Dunlop, or Bridgestone at thurs open test sessions?
:tagteam:
I don't remember anyone being there Thursdays. If you need some tires changed (and you have tires), I live 20 minutes from the track. $20 each, off the bike...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
I usually see them rolling in late morning. I don't know how long it takes them to set up. I have seen Scotty James and the rest of the T#3 Projects ( Slums) folk running around getting new sneaks in the afternoon...
I'd suggest you call your vendor of choice, be prepared to run the first couple of sessions with what you have or, take Stoneman up on his offer.

Street and Comp will most likely be there Thursday seeing they will be supporting TTD on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Hopefully I'll be there. I have a pretty good idea at least my bike will be there. Don't you do anything at work besides play on the internet?
Not if I can help it, I ordered a new hinson clutch basket, and got some suzuka tire warmers
:tagteam:
Cool. You order the shift forks? My clutch plates came in today. Hopefully put them in over the weekend.
forks wouldnt be here in time, they are back ordered so i will ride around the problem for now and do them on the five week break with my crank. Quint and i are going to put the head on tommorrow after i get done with my PT test in the morning. did you get your clutch sorted out? and anyone know how turn one is coming or the rest of the track?
:tagteam:
I'm hoping the new plates will solve the problem.
do you have them yet

Any one else going to the open practice on the 28th? KB?
:tagteam:
Alright, I'm in. As long as the boss' wife doesn't decide to go into labor on Wednesday I'm good to go. Just gotta get the bike fixed.
I'll be working 3/10 to cover you peeps.
Last open practice, we had so few people entered, we went green track open session for 4 straight hours. One guy ran the whole afternoon. He only stopped long enough to fuel up and reenter.
Talk about quality track time! totally dry and 4 straight hours of track time !!!

Unless it's a mechanical in the split, I Hate when people visit me.
Say hi in the paddock and give me a beer. Otherwise, stay the fuck away from me.

I can probably manage the beer part.
LOL!
No matter what, if you can give me a beer and shoot the shit at the end of the day, it's been a GREAT DAY !!

+1
I don't know how long I'll be able to hang out after; I have to drive back home to spend a little time with the wife and kid then work Friday before driving BACK down to Loudon Friday evening. But I'm sure I won't be leaving too quickly, unless something goes wrong with the bike (which it shouldn't).
Hey, you do what you have to do. If there's anything I can do to make it easier for you, or anyone for that matter, just ask.
I'm pretty much local. I work for the track on Thursday practice and I'm there to set up stations and work for Penguin on Friday's. I don't mind making sure peoples stuff is OK or even bringing up a trailer or two from the back lot.
If it makes it possible for people to come up and have a good time, I'm more than willing to help in any way I can.

well brian looks like it should be green flag all day better bring the big gas can. did i hear somone mention beer?
:tagteam:
Never count on that. If the weather looks good, and the weekend looks like good grids, rain or shine, practice can fill up. Motorcycle peeps seem to be a much hardier group of people.
This is a break down of how it can go;
1.) Green track all practice.
2.) Fast & slow. Rotating sessions, 30 min. ea.
3.) EX, AM, NV. Bikes may be assigned by size/lap time/closing speeds. 20 min. ea.
4.) Just like practice during race days. Generally one session per hour.
Hope this helps. We just try to make it as safe as possible and give as much track time as we can.
