That is a shame if it happens, but I for one fully understand how this can happen. it's better to make these decisions earlier than last minute.

Doc, if it's ok with Rick, have him or you PM me a list of the current signups (up to now, no new ones).

Ill talk to my partners at Boston Moto and we can see what we can do to accommodate those Customers on our Sep 29th date. No promises, but I'll try to find a solution that works for all.

We have a plan in place to offer LAPS customers for 28th a discount rate and invite some LAPS staff to ride for free but We are waiting for the list of current signups from LAPS and confirmation that they want this plan to go ahead.

That's all I'm saying. not many trackday orgs can run multiple events in the red. Rick's days are a lot different in many ways that appeals to some and not others. I know Rick, and know why he does it, and what he feels is an acceptable loss... Each trackday provider has a different threshold of what they can take for losses. If what you say below is accurate, and nobody was charged - then thats even better. The fact Doc was keeping people in the loop was cool and courteous of him (and appreciated, because I am way too busy to be trying to track down the latest status myself).

If Bomo is going to do something that would be cool - I already paid for my Bomo day but was signed up for LAPS as well, do we still get a discount?

Sorry, misunderstanding. We are offering the LAPS people who were signed up on 28th and not signed up for us on the 29th the chance to come on the 29th at a reduced price (probably $175). We are NOT picking up the 28th as part of our schedule.

I was at day 2 at OVRP. Small turnout, but lots of fun. We only ran the road course. The dirt section was closed due to the rain the night before and that morning.

BOMO are not under any agreement to accomodate the customers of LAPS. (Although I personally think it is a generous offer)

If you want to do a day with BOMO (which I reccomend) you do so as a BOMO customer. They do not know who has or has not signed up with LAPS for the 28th so they have no way of knowing who is a "customer of LAPS".
