GMOS is a state of the art device developed to detect the motion of motorcycles. It employs the most cutting edge technologies and processing algorithm that are used for airborne crafts and missiles. These, along with GPS technology, enable GMOS to detect, produce, and record the following data of your run:
Real time Lean angle up to 70 degrees,
Maximum lean angle degree of the run,
History of the last three lean angles,
Real time G-force of acceleration/deceleration up to 1G,
Real time GPS speed up to 255 MPH (410 KMH),
Top GPS speed of the run,
and GPS trace mapping.
All these data can be recorded in the built-in memory for up to 16 hours or 999 logs, whichever comes first. With the two buttons beside the screen, you can configure the system to meet your preferences easily, including
Resetting your max lean angles and top speed,
setting your alarm lean angle,
setting the time zone,
switching between the metric system and the British system,
and clearing the memory.
After your ride, connect the GMOS dashboard unit to your PC to have the logged data downloaded. Our user-friendly analysis software makes it possible to relive your ride two-dimensionally or three- dimensionally on your computer, with the lean angle, speed and G-force data mapped onto your GPS traces. You can load multiple traces and have them replayed simultaneously, or have a repeated closed route split into several laps, to have a virtual racing played on your computer. This allows you to analyze your riding performance, or even compare your ride with others’, for further improvement. You can even export a specific race to share with your friend.
i think it would just depress me.

Nice find Ozzy. I was actually kinda hopping that they would make a similar application for the iphone since it has a gyroscope.
Speaking of which, did you see the new giro camera Rossi debuted in the last race: http://www.motogp.com/en/videos/2010...alentino+Rossi
Wow, what an interesting concept!
I tried adding accelerometers to my gps setup but vibrations made the data quite noisy.

$698 and it only logs at 1Hz!!
I paid less than $100 for my gps logger and it records at 5Hz so I can calculate more accurate lap times...

it only records the last 3 Lean angles?

The more I think about a real time lean angle sensor, the more I think it's a bad idea. It might encourage a rider to hang off less so the bike itself leans more!

I have a few lean angle sensors already. I think you guys know one of them, his name is John Owens.

Real time anything is useless. It needs to log everything, then you need software that can map it... Oh Kinda like Rolker's project...
Edit: Real time requires you to look at you dash while riding. Exactly the OPPOSITE of what you should be doing on any racetrack at any time.

Sounds like the one for cars, what's it called? G-tech?
I called them once and asked if it would work on a bike but they said NO because the lean angle wouldn't give lateral g's. Who cares...bikes don't have lateral g's.
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...
