Why didn't anyone tell me about brake piston pliers before now?!

Made caliper cleaning a breeze. Rotate, insert or remove pistons without drama.
Now all I need to figure out is what the difference is between FA252 and FA380 pads and I'll be golden.![]()
I see... I just used compressed air to pop the pistons out. Takes 3 seconds.

I've used 90 deg snap ring pliers, worked ok but those would be really nice.
I'm saving that link.

Motor is back together and half bolted to the frame. Was in the process of tightening the right side slider bolt when the head snapped off. New bolts for both sliders are shipping out from woodcraft today since I my usual go to spots for metric stuff didn't have suitable replacements. Pretty much stalled until those arrive. I'll finish rebuilding my other caliper tonight and maybe swap the new rear sprocket and front brake rotors onto the wheels but otherwise I'm stuck until the frame and motor are properly secured to each other.

I got the good news that my motor is done and ready to be picked up. Hopefully I'll be playing hokey some day this week and heading down to Souhegan Valley Motorsports...
I'm psyched to pick it up and begin re-assembly but the temps this morning were less than motivating. I saw -6 degrees F on the way in to work this morning.
