Re: 100 DAYS UNTILL 2014 RACE SEASON
Finally started to work on the race bike.
I need to learn to order the parts and supplies I need before starting projects.
Currently:
1. Bodywork is off, stickers peeled, paint sanded off (didn't order fiberglass repair supplies... idiot)
2. Brake fluid is drained from whole system, calipers off, calipers split, plungers out, o-rings out (didn't order caliper rebuild kits... idiot)
3. Oil is out, "weeping" clutch cover is off and cleaned (didn't pick up any Honda bond to put it back together... idiot)
4. New clutch hasn't arrived yet (presumably because I didn't order it... idiot)
5. Forks are off. Fork oil in hand! (didn't order fork seals... idiot)
6. Didn't order Woodcraft clip-ons yet... idiot
7. Didn't order Woodcraft rear-sets yet... idiot (anyone want a set of Sato rearsets for a CBR600?)
8. I'm pretty sure there are a few other reasons I'm an idiot... but I can remember them because, well... I'm an idiot.

Re: 100 DAYS UNTILL 2014 RACE SEASON
stripped down both bikes to frame and motor this weekend.
new bike got a new exhaust, rearsets with the fancy pivot toe shifters, case covers, lever guard, RHS controls, toe guard, and long clip-on bar.
then installed: swingarm, wire harness, ECU, rearsets, quick shifter, rear brakes, front brakes (minus calipers and pads), clip-ons, stator, rectifier, forks, shock, fairing stay, air box from the 2013 bike.
bled front and rear brakes after cleaning the caliper pistons.
everything was cleaned, greased, torqued, loc-tite, or never seized.
just need to do an oil change, tank & gas, fill the radiator with water, and hope it fires up.

you're getting good at this. maybe you should buy a bike that doesn't require a total rebuild before it turns a wheel. Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki come to mind

Didn't you have your throttle stick wide open last year?

And 4 bikes in our garage were messed with that night before Saturdays practice session 1. Tank filled with paper towels, clutch settings backed out, brake lever backed out, fork settings changed with no rebound. But that bike also had no return cable either.

Haha I'm just busting your balls. No one in the right mind would jump on my bike.
And as Eric basically said....whoever messed with those bikes needs to be shot.
