Oooooh, nice, thanks!!!
Gonna hit em with the wire wheel and rustoleum
So, some of the tabs missing hold the airbox in and the side plates on, but also the battery. I did pod filters and planned on just leaving the sideplates off, but now I definitely need a battery in there

I was generously given this bike for free from a member on here! I got it 110% disassembled and well organized in boxes. I have never seen this or really any other old Honda assembled in person.
I already bought a battery like 2 months ago :/
The bike was on more of a custom build trajectory by the previous owner, and I'm just trying to get it back together stock, which is causing some issues.
Might need to braze something back onto the frame.
Another thought....actually, more of a question...would some perforated metal strapping work? Figure a rubber insulator wrapped around the frame with the strapping going around that and "clamped" to the frame with hardware...?
I would definitely fabricate something. Now that you have powdercoated the frame and there's no airbox, what about creating a new box attached to the underside of the seat or rear subframe? It's going to look funky all exposed no matter what. Isn't there also some electronics you will need to find a home for along with the battery?
Got my assistant to pull the pod filters off, removed the rear shocks, install the stock airbox, and re install the shocks
With ZERO mounting points for the electrical panel, Im gonna have to get creative....

A little more slow progress with the one arm.
Ordered a few more parts from ebay.
Got the following small bolt on things done: Installed stock front brake line, mechanical tach cable, headlight, horn, brake master, throttle, seat catches, headers......
I've been keeping a tally on the cost, almost up to $1k....
Pod filters are a waste because I went back to the stock airbox, seat catch is a waste because I ended up finding the other one in one of the tubs, tank bushing is a waste because I found the other one. Need to order and exhaust shield today. Could have saved some money in a few spots, but I REALLY prefer OEM parts to off the shelf parts from the hardware store.

Any Ideas what 7,10, and 14 go to? I havent been able to figure it out yet.

I'd expect a hole in the frame, or similar unthreaded through hole down around the area of the swingarm pivot behind the motor or down by the counter shaft where your drain lines go.
Found it, I was on the wrong side of the bike. https://www.reddit.com/media?url=htt...a6ddf0e8985fc5
What is the clamp that the bolt passes through in the image Kurlon posted? Oddly it looks like that clamp around the center stand would fold these vent tubes up whenever the stand was up.
Never mind, looked again and it looks like that clamps onto the frame and the center stand is to the left of where the clamp is

Great shot! There is a stop for the foot brake there that I didn't know about either! Thanks so much! Looks like I need some sort of round bracket too for it to clamp to the center stand....
I don't have those hoses either, they must be just vents off the airbox? Or you think they come from the carb?

Capped vents would be airbox drains I'd expect.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/386453768425 shows that spot of the frame in one pic, that bracket isn't going to a clamp, it's a boss welded to the frame itself.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/196983357589 has a better view of it. Going over the parts fiches, I can't find any reference to there being a separate piece. Looks like it's meant to keep the center stand pivot shaft from rotating?

https://www.hondapartshouse.com/oemp...-cleaner-ii-79 has your two airbox drains with caps.
Youre right! Looks like I'm good to go!
Here's the organized mess of all the bolts and brackets left. Looks like I will need to source those airbox vents ass well. Still working on a solution to the missing frame tabs....
I know the triangles are exhaust mounts thanks to you guys, and the clip over there goes on a gas tank mount, and I know the brake light switch in there. I need to order another exhaust shield, I only have one. The 2 brackets under that Im not ssure of, I think probably passenger peg stuff.
I bet that bolt bottom middle is the rear brake stop.
Went back and looked at the pics of the frame pre powder coating and saw the boss that the bracket bolts to. Fun watching this come together.
Sooooooooooooooooooooooo, I just spent like $100 on a front brake line and a speedo cable....
The guy in Farmington says he will sell me a running hawk for $300
Buy?
Wanna know how the guy in Farmington got his start?
That said, $300 isn't bad if it keeps you from chasing a ton of little parts via eBay/etc.
Yup, that's what he said:"I have a running Honda Hawk that I am trying to think how low I could sell it for. I have parted out numerous amount of these bike and always tossed the frame. If you were interested, I could possibly let it go for $300.00."
AND, if the kids do end up riding it a bunh and we have it for a few years, a parts bike wouldn't be terrible.
