1987 FZ700

My friend had told me to keep my eye out for a first bike for him. I found this bike for him and thought it was a good option, as it could probably be had for about $700 and the title would be another $150, as well as the rear tire would be another $150. And with registration and insurance he could have a good bike for $1500. I don't have a lot of experience with this bike in particular, so does anyone know anything that I have to look for with this bike?

For 1500 OTD I bet he could get something 5 years newer with a title. If the seller was not the last registered owner and you can't easily get in touch with the last registered owner, it will take at least 3 months to get a title.

the best deals are the hardest to come by, but I found the used/running/sportbike market starts at a grand...so I'm sure if you wait longer and search more you could find one that's newer, complete, with a title, for less money than the FZ
