I agree on what some other members have commented on already. Nice choice in first bike and not skimping in the gear dept like so many newbs do.
Nice bike. Love the helmet (it's close to the one I want to pick up) and great gear choice. If you find that black leather gets really hot in the summer (my yellow leather did, whew) look at some of the A* textile jackets. I have the "sniper" one (black/white/grey camo) and it's very comfy/breatheable for the warmer days where the leather is to hot. And I feel safe with it on with all the armour.
Enjoy your riding. Sadly I'm headed off to Korea in a few weeks otherwise I would join you and Dan for a ride. Maybe when I come home for leave!
DocCola, thanks for the info on the A* Textile Jackets (the Sniper is pretty slick), I'll look into getting one as Summer approaches. I can;t wait to get out and rack up some miles.
You got a little piece of my heart there my friend. That was bike number 7 for me. I moved on to a Triumph which is overall a better bike but I will always miss the 650R you have one of the best all around bikes out there, for city and commuting it is tops. In round 3 do yourself a favor and pick up the ninja650shop sport bars. They will put you a little further forward and make the bike MUCH more fun to ride.
