Yes, out of the crate it's sporting a 120/70R17 front and 160/70R17 rear. 41mm forks up front also FYI.

Just because LEDs are the next big thing is no reason to not move forward with at least what's current. Yellow halogens are a high-energy consuming, hot-burning, inefficient, ugly thing of the past.

And yellow halogens still produce some of the best light for actually seeing at night. You don't want 'white' or 'blue' light, no matter how cool or trendy it is. Halogens are built to be yellow for a reason that isn't based on hipness.

Yeah, you should send this fact of yours to engineers at Mercedes/Audi/Porsche/Lexus/Ferrari/Maserati/Toyota/Subaru/Ford/[insert auto brand] because they all moved on 10 years ago from halogens. They are grossly misled by hipness and you should correct it for all our benefit. While you are at it, maybe tell them that fuel injection, traction control and other advancements are all for hipness too and they should rid their products of all this nonsense. I find it funny that homemade/small time enthusiasts seem to talk with such conviction against the best engineers of the entire auto industry.

The weight issue is irrelevant. A $10 grand bike isn't optimized for weight so stop fooling yourself that Honda was trying to save 100 grams in weight. Honda picked fugly halogens because their designers are stuck in the past and because it's more than likely a cost cutting measure. Hence we are criticizing their half-assed packaging and product design. Kapish?

If you don't think the marketeers are the ones making the final say on decisions like that, you're sadly mistaken.

I've heard white was best and you wanna go towards the yellow side of the spectrum. the blue side actually makes it harder to see. the advantage to HIDs is how far and wide the light pattern is. Halogens are very good today though because of the multireflector lens. My Tacoma has awesome headlights. our work trucks are very good too until the housing gets damaged or they start to haze over, then they suck.

If you like halogens, then you should be riding in a horse and buggy. Got it.
