Ok... in case anyone gives a fuck.
Plastic has been repaired, (JC should be posting pics of the repairs shortly).
Rear subframe is being straigtened, welded and returned, $75!!!!
Paint going on bike.
Here's the new stuff.. and let me know what you think.
I got a quote from a guy I know, Todd's Touch in Somersworth NH. He will do a full frame polish, including swingarm and have the rims "dipped" for $1,400. Opinions?
Looking for someone that can paint helmets... suggestions?
Don't get upset, but spendy for polishing... coming from someone who debated on fixing the 9, INSURING the 9.... Get my point.....?
Anyway, if you now have the money hmmmm...... There is that old homeowner term sweat equity. Especially if you got a garage??? with heat??? But will you ever get any equity out of your bike?
How about painting it just like it came? Erion paint scheme? or just leave it white?
Just me 2 cents....
See... that's the kind of feedback I want, thanks Todd. It's definately going to be painted white. I just ordered the hugger today too. I just can't decide about the polish. I know I could do it myself and save the $1,400.
Financially things are a lot better now than they were 6 months ago. The bike will not go on the road again without insurance. Even with the home purchase I still have some extra $$ to do some things with it.
We'll see.![]()
What ya get for a hugger, when, how much, what color.... ?
oh yeah where from?

Tell me about it... salesmen get hard-ons when I walk in... they can just tell when a sucker arrives. Doesn't matter how much I think I know... I always ALWAYS end up paying more than everyone else.
I'm thinking of moving to Canada... people up there aren't as smart, right Greg? Maybe I can start saving some money/.
Hey;
Also being one of those Canucks, you really don't want to do that... as you get FUCKED in taxes!
Todd
I forgot about those taxes.
I would rather die than move there anyway... that's where Celine Dion is from, AHHHH.
and OH Yeah, what the FUCK,,,, are you calling me dumb or something? EH?
LOL!

Mark... I've gotten some info of the web for frame polishing. I'm gonna give it a try. If I fuck it up real bad then I'll send it to ya and have ya fix her up. Thanks for the offer.
Ok, cool. Set about 50-80 hours of time aside and you'll be all set:o
What methods are you going to try?

$1400 doesn't seem all that bad for polishing AND dipping the wheels. I looked around last year at having the wheels dipped on the Superhawk, and the best price I got was $850.00...
The price for the hugger is a decent price. But you should know that Devil Bikes sells Eurobike's body work. I've spent the better part of the last 6 months researching huggers and undertails for the Tiller, and that price is pretty much middle of the road...
I personally decided to go with Extreme Graphics FSMD undertail & hugger (painted). Their stuff is a bit on the expensive side, but it looked like top-notch stuff...

And wouldn't you know it: My wife caught wind of those items that I wanted from them and just gave them to me for Chanukah!!! Yes, BOTH of 'em!!! Yes, my wife ROCKS!!! And yes, I'm bragging...![]()
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Sweet! Thank you my friend! I just got the latest update from Bob.... all primed up and ready for paint!
I'm back to where I was in July/August... not getting any work done. I've been spending too much time here and surfing the web for parts. It's gonna be a long winter!
Lemme know when you need a hand. Just gimme a few days notice so I can make arrangements with the family to disappear for a day (or two)...hee hee....![]()

Hey Rich I tried to e-mail you but it said your mail box is full or your account is no longer active.. Anyway finished the undertaill made all of the repairs to the cracks in the fiberglass.. I haven't got your Hugger yet.. I am also still waiting for the decals to come from England.. when I get all of the stuff I'll send you a note..
A few questions for ya, Bob...
1) Got any pics of the 'new' plastic you fixed for Rich...
2) I'm lookin' for clear, PRE-CUT plastic/vinyl to put on my tank (TL-R) to protect it from my knees and my sac rubbing against it. Know of anybody?
3) Ever taken apart the tail on a TL-R? I'm curious about the two plastic 'pop' rivets under the tailpiece. JC and I are installing an undertail on it, and I'm wondering how to get 'em out, and if they can be easily replaced. I'm not sure if we drill 'em out (carefully, of course!). Should I just call the local 'Zook shop and order some, just in case?

The only pictures I have left of the repair work are the repairs to the fiberglass undertail..I tried e-mailing them to Rich with no luck. the rest of the stuff is kinda boring.. Nothing better than fixing really smashed up pieces like his front cowl. the rest of his damage to his side panels is minor, also the panels are black and didn't show damage well in a picture.
As for the clear panels to protect the tank I know I can get them. let me see if they make a pre-cut version for your bike. If not what I can do is order some and send it to you. What you can do is make a pattern out of paper that fits the tank area and then transfer it to the clear decal material..
I can't help you on the tail section fasteners. I think that they are just normal plastic rivets. One time use. If they are like the ones the auto industry uses. to release them you would pull the center of the rivet towards you. If you looked at eh rivet it would have an outer and a inner circle. you should be able to rotate the inner one if it is removeable, if it is solid or has a hole in the center it is a one time rivet..
I just ordered some clear plastic. I don't know how thick it will be. the order for Richs decals leaving today from England, they told me they would throw in a piece to try..for free.. so you can be the test example for the stuff. When I meet up with Rich to give him his stuff I will pass it on to him to give to you..or I can just mail it when it comes
Hey Bob... sorry about my email... it seems the pics you sent me took up the remainder of my memory... I cleaned it out so shouldn't be a problem any longer.
Sounds like things are coming along really well. Keep me posted. Are you coming down for the Holidays?
Thanks JC. Well, this is the front cowl and I am very, VERY pleased! If you scroll back up in this thread you will see what the many pieces of my cowl looked like when they went to Bob. He sent me the pics of my bike today, rather then unveil them all here I will wait.
After 900+ miles, 13+ hours in the car I got my parts. See thread "EmpireGP" under vendors/dealers.
Rich;
Does that mean you will finally be needing your hardware? Send me your address or get your ass up to the mountains to go snowboarding! Pics look sweet. I really like the pearl white.
Let me know.... what you want me to do!
