    Aftermarket horn

I have a 2008 Triumph Sprint ST and am looking to upgrade the horn. I don't know if the one on there now is broken but it is SAD, my moped has a louder horn. I'd like to go a little louder than stock, but want to reuse the existing wiring. Anyone have any suggestions for a good generic aftermarket motorcycle horn?

    - 14 to 16 gauge wire, 10 ft - 20 ft length (more than enough)
    - 2 splice-in wire connectors (blue plastic variety)
    - 6 female blade-style quick disconnects (Radio Shack 64-3049)
    - 3 ring connectors for attachment to battery terminals
    - 1 in-line fuse holder with 30 amp automotive fuse
    - weather resistant electrical tape (or just use weather-sealed heat-shrink connectors)
why such a shitty recommendation for electrical connections ?

I looked at the Twisted Throttle option, I really don't feel like adding a relay and dealing with all kinds of rewiring. Its a 2 wire horn now, I'd like to stick to that. I'll measure my horn tonight so I know if that one on ebay will work...... I'm guessing it will.

Randy, thanks for the offer to scavenge a horn for me. I'm in NY so its not worth it for me to get up to your place, even if it is free.

I would suggest Nylon or Acrylic splice connector or a posi-tap. I think the variety is only to describe the type. I will have the content folks look at it.

I would suggest finding an unused hot lead and plugging a spade or whatever terminal it takes and avoid splicing or tapping, if one must tap, a positap at least

those blue (or red or yellow depending on the gauge wire they are for) Scotch Locks are a disaster waiting to happen

    Re: Aftermarket horn

Hooking up the relay is no big deal at all. The Stebel is a lot louder.

If the Sprint mounts like the Tiger I'm designing a 3D printed mounting bracket this weekend.

I just put a regular "high" from a car, bolted on the stock location and now it sounds like a regular horn lol

    Re: Aftermarket horn

PIAA makes some bolt on single horns, no relay required. I put one on my Hyper.

For more menace, you'll need a relay (easy, as mentioned). I use Hella Twin Supertone horns. (Good price on Amazon.)
