Well I just got my new Supertech R's in white. I like them so far but I got a few questions for thoes with A* boots or thoes who have the R's. Do these run big? I wear a size 11 in Dainese boots, I got a size 45 (10.5) A* boot and while it fits well, my toes dont touch the tip of the inner bootie. There is maybe less than half an inch from touching. Not sure if thats too big. The next size down is a 9.5 might be too small.
Also, is it just me or are these boots thick? As in trying to fit my foot under the shifter of my bike. I did a test fit on my bike with it on the rear stand and it felt tight. is this normal for A* boots? Something I have to get used too?
other than that I like them. Very comfy!

There's no adjustment in the gear selector? I will say my sidis are super tight for the track while my A*'s are a bit looser for the street but I've never noticed a difference in shifting. Granted my bike is GP shift and I know it tech shouldn't matter but I think it makes a little difference.
I take a 11-11.5 in Adidas shoes and my A-stars fit like a glove and are size 45 euro (10.5 US). And I have never had a shifting problem with them. But I also have the SVX model.

A*s run big. I wear a 10-10.5 but my boots are 9.5

The bar that runs from the shift lever to the motor has a locknut on each end (10mm?). Break those loose and spin the bar and it should move the lever up or down. Sit on bike with boots on and check, don't forget full tuck too. Then retighten the lock nuts.

Ya, I guess you could do that first. Go a couple teeth and then fine tune it with the rod.

Well before I do that, Do these boots break in? As like flatter on the toe shifter pad? I am sure it will take time to get use to new boots. I had my Dianese's for 4 years

Yes they will break in but you will still have to move it.
You will also want to look at lowering the rear brake pedal. especially if ride in sneakers like I do.
That's how my first high side happened.

Seems about how mine fit, maybe a 1/4 of an inch of actual space in front of my toes. I'd be shocked if you actually had a 1/2 inch. That's about a full shoe size. Talking to your wife I know you like to exaggerate size so I doubt there is anything to worry aboutFit them like hockey skates, as long as your heal isn't coming up when you walk, you'll be fine.
Yes sir, They'll feel like slippers in no time. Remember they aren't meant to walk around in.
Only thing I changed in mine are footbeds. I got used to these playing hockey and love them. Little better walking around yet still firm to give you feedback from the pegs.

If your foot slides around a little throw a dr scholls footbed on top of the one that is already in there.
A* off road boots have a lot of armor in the toe area. Took me a long time to get used to it because I could no longer feel the shifter. Sounds like the road series are the same way.
So do you all think I should adjust the shifter up or down? I will try it both ways just asking what everyonea experence has been.

If you are having to bend your ankle/foot down so much just to get your toes under the shifter then yeah bring it up.
Sounds good thanks alot!

If you can't fit your toes under there isn't the only option up?
And they work fantastic when you go down in them. Turn 1 and 3 at NJMP and 1 deer on deerfield ave (holy shit, never made that connection.) mine are fine and I've never had a foot/ankle problem.![]()
I did not know you hit a deer lol!
