Yellow light, green light, heart stands still...
I was talking to Dave about this last week. Every time I go there I take a look at Johnny's VF750 Superbike tucked out back in service. It's just a great piece of AMA Superbike history.
I was happy to hear it was NOT part of the auction.
Putting his hands in the air, like he just doesn't care.
Check out my eBay store!

Anyone going driving a truck and mind helping me haul a bike back if I pick one up? I'm probably just gonna take my car from here as opposed to driving up to NH and borrowing my father's truck, then ill feel obligated to buy something.
Like I said they say, nothing stops a party barge.

I'm glad I went....
I have never seen such an eclectic collection of motorcycle history like this before. I can tell you that there will be nothing like this again. Once in a life time kind of thing.
It sucks that this collection go like this.

I took the yamaha r5 home. Winter project. Lots of unique stuff there, for a good cause too.
A bunch of junk going for ridiculous money.
Still glad I went.

prices were pretty high 7800 for that guzzi was pretty wild money mad money for most of the stuff
the older limey stuff got good prices

Yeah, what a great collection - lots of older european dirt machines, just some very cool stuff. Did anyone happen to see what either of the rotary bikes sold for?
The Suzuki RE5 went for 4800
and the hercules wankel went for 2100
about what their worth but I thought the suzi may have reached 6 grand as it was very clean.
The surprise for me was the 1968 tiger 650 that fetched 4800 as the thing was a pretty worn out bike with wrong tank and no compression I figured 3 grand tops but two guys were after it and thats all it takes
The big bargains of the day were the 3 forklifts which went for 2200 , 1300 and 300 bux really cheap, and the very last item to be auctioned off was the 63 ford thunderbird convertible which fetched 13500 and in a good economy was worth 30grand and I believe it's heading to Aussie land as the lad who bought it had loads of room in his container as he only bought 5 bikes..
A great day out and beats raking leaves but no real deals to be had but it 's all for a good cause all around as Dick Bettencourt is a good man facing some real hardship.
Funny thing as We were loading the GS suzuki we bought I almost sold it for 400 bux but the guy who wanted it had his missus screaming at him about all the bikes in bits in the house and no more bikes or he could walk home, pretty funny
