I was going to buy used..there's an '06 in MA with 1700 miles I could have picked up for under 7K. But I figured the depreciation after a couple years wouldn't have been that big a difference between the two, and I kind of liked getting a 2-yr factory warranty...after all, it is British...oh, and I loved the look of the SE when I saw it in person...the logical side of me can't justify an extra $400+ for different colored wheels & decals, but when does that side make decisions when it comes to motorcycles?
Right now, just getting a gel seat, heli bars, and probably a fender eliminator. The pipe will come later...I have 2 condos in different buildings, and both homes need new roofs. And going on vacation next month...yea...this was a financially intelligent decision!!!
You bastard!!! You stole my costume from last year, well kinda. I went to a party without a costume and everyone was giving me shit so I popped my collar and tucked in just the front of my shirt and called myself a douche bag.
I would have went with a new one too if one that is two years old is still worth that much, if it was $6K it would be a different story though. I like the look of the SE more than the regular models so it would be worth the extra money to me.
Just go down to home depot and buy some blue tarps, roofs fixed :beerbang:
The bike will keep you from losing your mind while you are thinking of the roofs leaking every time it rains.

nice congrats to you, a buddy I work with just bought a graphite one. I rode it last week and it seems like a fun bike, not as aggressive seating position as my 636 and I can't comment on the power because I didn't really tool on it, it has 300 miles on it I think.
Re: I did a bad, bad thing today...
you did a very very good thing! welcome to the club, someone get this guy a spot of tea!
oh yeah, and get it right, its a trumpet, not a triumph!

you'll love it i'm sure. best thing i've done so far was put on the speed triple OEM throttle tube. $15, 5 minute mod and comes pre-gripped with a matching grip. full open to closed throttle span is reduced by about 1/3.
Nice, I'll look into that.
Got a gel seat and heli bars on order. Lee Parks called me today and said they have one set of black anodized bars left that will most likely never be made again...ok, send 'em.
And picking up the new bitch tomorrow...
Re: I did a bad, bad thing today...
Clay Aiken has been up at the track the last couple of days, hence his absence. I'm sure he'll comment on how he rides it like a fag shortly :D
Re: I did a bad, bad thing today...
Oh yeah, I'd like to add that Mr Aiken was apparently riding a Tuono as well  :lmao:
