Hey, this aint no free psychologist session here kids...
My vote is for Sidi. I wear the Doha model, dont know if they have that in womens...but its a street boot, def not a race boot. Very comfortable walking around in, and has protection if something bad happens. And lets face it on the street, Im not late braking into the apex to gain a position, so I feel I dont need giant boots with sliders, vents and or pixy dust to make me a tenth faster. :)

Regarding the track days... definitely try one. It sounds like you have some misconceptions regarding the lines, crowds, etc.
Personally, I find the trackday workers and participants to be like a big family. The fast riders don't try to intimidate the slower ones... if nothing else, they offer their advice and help you to become a better rider (and faster!).
Jasnmar summed it up pretty well in an earlier post... give it a try!
Another possibility is Red Wing boots. They are mainly a work boot maker, so their boots are comfortable and can be worn and walked in all day. They have a line of motorcycle boots, mens and womens, that are more traditional styled, and are good quality. I've been wearing them for years. My wife had Lady Dainese boots, but they were too much of a PITA to put on and take off, and weren't good for walking in; she got a pair of the Red Wings about a year ago, and likes them much better.

The TCX boots I have are not hard to put on/off at all. Slip in, pull up a zipper, and slap the velcro cuff shut. Way easier than laces.
They aren't horrible for walking in. I recently walked NHIS in them and survived. Would not chose to wear them hiking in the Whites though.
They are not waterproof either, not even close. I bought a pair of boot covers/gators and threw them in with my rain gear.
The ventilation is okay when moving, but not so great when stopped. Popping the boots off at the end of my recent (August) track day was a nice relief. Sorry if I stunk out any of ya'll in the garage there. :chair:
Okay - so I went to Seacoast today after work...
Amazing :) Patricia is awesome! I tried on a ton of different boots and different styles... Discussed my wants and needs - and ended up picking myself up a pair!
Went with Sidi and am confident with my purchase and the fit.

Yep, bought my Sidi's from Pat....and my Dainese jacket.
Finally took these things out for a trial run! I loved them, comfortable, fit well... 1 problem... These boots put me one step closer to the track which made me feel one step closer to invincible... Is this weird? The more gear I have the harder I ride...

Ha! It really, really is true.
12 months ago I didn't own much of anything track worthy except a helmet and a decent pair of gloves. Today I have both a 1 and 2-piece leather suits, boots, 2 back protectors (one needs to go), and 3 pairs of track worthy gloves.
By Jason's math I should live on 106 in Loudon by now. ... Maybe that comes with the 'track bike'.
