Got to ride with some friends and the EBR rep today as he was making his way thought the north east. Cool bike for sure. Cool number plate too. I think my CBR and the 2 KTM = the price of one of these EBR, but the regular model should be out next year for under $20K. Note no matter how cool those 3 twins are, mine is the only one with the TTD sticker on the windshield, though the white/blk KTM has been to TTD.

I didn't ride it (but didn't expect too) but Gordon from Razee's got to ride it near the Vanilla bean. Stable, smooth over 4K (had race pipe, cams, and ECU), comfortable, strong but not grabby brakes, and very light. Had an amazing bark out out of the exhaust. Will post up some video, but I don't think i got the sound that good. Pretty cool it was bike #9, but then again they've only built about 100 or so.

The ttd sticker only makes a bike slower. And the ebr should fit right in, it's probably big, heavy, and slow like all the other buells.

You've never been on a buell have you. Nothing big or heavy about them, not even close.
Slow, well 1/3 out of three I guess.
Who is going to buy that bike? Seriously what's the over /under on the company going belly up??
They just got a big infusion of capital for a 49% stake in the company.
Edit: http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...9-stake-in-EBR
Edit edit: $25 million, with $15 already paid in. " Hero Motocorp will be acquiring 49.2% stake in one of its technology partner firms; US based Eric Buell Racing (EBR) for USD 25 million.
The first tranche of USD 15 million has already been invested while the remaining would be paid over the next nine months."

Go fast. Have fun. Repeat.
I saw that thread but for the money 20k buys a lot of bike and I wonder who would choose an ebr bike over something else in that price range.

Ha! How would I know. The one time I met you your garage was filled with katooms. No buells. Figured you assumed they were porkers cause they were Harley's. pretty damn compact and small bikes give the peice of shit motor they're stuck with. Handle pretty well too.
Would like to see him succeed this time around but it's taking an awful long time for them to get something to market.
Yeah, I hope he does well too.
I was really bummed when they got shut down. The xb was/is a fantastic street bike. One of my favorites, just don't bring it to the racetrack.
That new one doesn't exactly catch my eye, but my opinion isn't worth much when it comes to bikes and beauty.

I'm not a huge fan myself, but I do want to see the guy succeed. Not only because of the insane amount of work he must have put in over the years, but there HAS to be a market for it somewhere. Just a matter of finding the right niche and making the numbers work. Obviously kinda-sorta-trying to fit in with the usuals didn't work out, maybe the higher end / smaller production side of things is a better fit. At least for now.

that bike sounded great at moto gp.
Tuono
I like the look of it, I like the engineering of it too, the low mount exhaust, the rear shock location, and Ive always been fascinated by the front brakes. ive ridden a few years back and the motors were freakin terrible. Matter of fact a Buell is the only bike Ive ever run out of gas with and had to be picked up....on the side of 95 south in Lexington at 4pm...
Which model was that?
