    Damn the heat!

So yesterday was not my day at all. It all started at my softball game. I recently broke my Townsend Knee Brace for my ACL repaired right knee and a few weeks back I forgot that I had it on and slid into third base...carbon fiber indestructable knee brace cracked in two. I call up my agent and she came in, remolded my knee and sent it in to get a replacement brace made. I get the brace two weeks ago and what happens yesterday...I dive for a fly ball and at first glance...it looks like all I needed was to replace the straps...nope I find that the carbon fiber is cracked on the top. The worst part was that the ball was out of play and I didn't even catch it. Hopefully since Townsend has a lifetime warranty on these braces that they will cover this again. If not, the damn brace costs $1200.

Now comes the really bad part...I come home from my softball game and there is a piece of paper stuck to my gas tank. First thing that came to mind was that it was the properties manager telling me that I should not park behind the trash bin. But nope...it was them telling me that a neighbor called them to let them know that the bike tipped over and they came and picked it back up. They also mentioned that the bike leaked some gas. Sooooo, the new parts I purchased for my bike when it went down are now scratched up (Woodcraft left clip on, Pazzo left clutch lever, Woodcraft left rearset). I started the bike up and it took a little bit to start up, but it looks like everything is fine. I can't see any leaks so I am guessing it was just a one time thing. I haven't really ridden it yet though.

This blows. Bad luck all around...

LOL, I don't think anything is malfunctioning from the tip over, but I think I just need one period though I had a good night out this past Friday night. Quite a debacle at Rev Rock!

And kb1ioq, the bike tipped over from the kickstand going into the pavement. I guess the sun was so hot that the pavement "melted" and the kickstand went right in. Just my luck...this happened on my RR back in the day too!

I hope I am threw with bad news for awhile now...

This is making me want to just go out and get something new...too bad I have no money to do that, hahaha.

That almost happened to my RR last year, .59 cent metal electrical cover plate fixed that problem. got one in the driveway and in the trunk of the bike. YOu might want to invest in one or two of them.

    Re: Damn the heat!

That's something we have't had to worry about much this year.. but I'd imagine we should all be keeping our kick plates with us this week.... My driveway is filled with kickstand indends, I've just been lucky enough not to have it drop yet.

Sorry to hear about the damage man... At least they weren't coming after you to pay for the fuel clean up :-)
