Eeeesh, what a thing to have to worry about.. I'm two days into my BRC down here in Va., gotta take the written in the morning and then 5 more hours on the range on thos shitty bikes. I swear to Allah, these Rebel 250's are harder to ride in tight quarters than my Bandit 1200, if only because the Bandit can move from 1st to 2nd, and back. These things are so beat ya have to shut em down and roll em back and forth while stomping the gearshift down to get it back to 1st gear. And forget about "N", the only "N" is the false Neutral when you shift from 2nd to 3rd.
Ah well, at least in the end, I'll have my "M" back and I can go for a ride tomorrow night..![]()
Thanks Shel, you be careful out there too!

On this mornings news, 8 people died in four accidents, all in one day yesterday. All involved any one combination of: alcohol, speed, and no seat belts. A veteran trooper said he had never seen 4 fatal accidents in one day. Awful stuff....I can't imagine what the families are going through...you have police showing up at your door and you think/sense it's for the worst and it is. One of the victims was the mother of a 5 week old baby. People just don't learn...use a designated driver if you are going to be drinking and arrive home safe and in one piece. Case in point: I had a few beers at my brothers July 4th party yesterday. I had driven down...(didn't ride, that's another story) when it was time to leave, I handed the keys to my wife and she, my daughter and I arrived home safe.
