Up to seven deaths so far for bike week.

Wow...
Are there usually this many deaths during bike week, or is this just a freaky year?
it is just a more focused look into the deaths because of bike week...
that sucks though.....
I think that actually makes 8 if you count the tree falling one...![]()
But no matter how many...It still sucks..![]()

Up to 10 now I believe (another last night). Unusually high, even for Rally & Race Week...
Where was the one last night? I was coming home from work around 5:00pm, and I came upon an accident scene on Rt.125 about Brentwood/Kingston line. All I saw was a full dress Harley pretty beat up, on it's side. I have no idea of any injuries. I hope nobody perished. It was at an intersection, so I could make a rough guess at it being an unfortunate but typical, somebody wasn't looking well enough, kind of accident. At this point, I have no knowledge of who wasn't looking.
I actually knew the man that died. He was an incredibly nice guy, and will be sorely missed. From what I heard he scraped the foot board on the ground mid-turn. He rode sport bikes most of his life, and was riding his first Harely (from what I've been told). I think he was just used to the ground clearance of a sport bike. So, so sad...
RIP Armand...
Message is clear to me: stay the f*ck away from bike week.
Noteworth - almost all of the fatalities was due to M/C rider fault crossing the yellow line and hitting on coming traffic head on.
The exception was the tree falling on the womens head... that one is still a mystery to me.
2001 RC51!!!
2007 Husky SMR 510 - no longer... blown tranny

there are so many riders that only ride this one week that it's not funny. I bet 75% of the bike week riders are inexperienced and ride less than 1k/yr and have ridden less than 2500 miles total lifetime
