Ok anyone have any idea who has the best prices on Sprocket Specialists sprockets n chains? I've got to get Jen new ones for her R6 before I let her ride it again this year....
Check Kneedraggers.com, I order my 520 conv. for my R6 through Chaparral. Gold 520 new front and aluminum rear with 2 extra teeth.
I forget the price but they where with in reason and they had them in stock.
How much do motorcycle chains and sprockets run?
(Don't need them yet, just curious)

Josh,I ordered all my stuff right from Sprocket Specialists. Then I proceeded to rip through a Titan Tough (bah!) aluminum sprocket in LESS THAN ONE SEASON! I'll be going back to a steel sprocket soon. My spare set of wheels came with a 40t sprocket, so that saved the day.![]()
Go with AFAM..I never had a problem with their stuff..I'm running the 520 kit on the tiller, and I've thrashed it pretty good at times.

[quote]There's no way in hell I will EVER go to a 520 on a TL. Seriously, a good quality 530 toast in less than a season. It might be my squidly style or something...but I'm staying with 530, and going back to steel sprockets.
Could be your SQUIDLY Habits..LOL!
But I thought for sure I was gonna snap that 520 like a piece of string, and it's still going! I'm talking about 8500 rpm 2nd gear throttle whacks into 60+ mph wheelies, Power shifting, etc, and still no problems..

I ran a AFAM 520 kit on my FZR1000 for several seasons.. and it stretched far less than the RK 530 gold I had on before it.

ss rear for Jen's R6 49.99
ss front 41.99 ? (didn't sound right to me)
chain DiD xring 117.99
that'll give ya a ball park figure
figger about $180 for SV chain & sprockets
525chain, 110links, 15t front 45t rear (44t for SVS)

A man without a gun is a subject LETS GO BRANDON
Sounds *really* reasonable. Buying online, a new crank/rings + cassette + chain for my bicycle is very close to that same price.

Okay so how will I be able to tell when I need a new set. chain and sprockets????

When the teeth on the sprockets are worn... or the chain is stretched badly.. or tight spots in the chain...or the chain is all rusty and beyond cleaning.. lol![]()
Well that seemed more obvious than I thought. I tend to replace thing before they need it though.
