I did a quick search - didn't find any threads. If this is a repost - then rosco can post up - and mods can delete it...
I've never had a name for any bike that I've owned... until now.
My race-bike has been named Rex... thanks to a pit-mate.
What about you?
Do you have names for your bikes? Stories behind it...?

No, gay.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

My bikes came with names from the factory. Didnt yours?
I might give em nicknames like.... "the track slut" or something... but I don't go through the trouble of going to the RMV to change their names.

Yes. I add "the" in front of its proper name. Or "the track bike" or "the street bike" or "the SV" or "the 650" or "the T"
To me, giving bikes whole new names like they're people or pets is silly.

My previous bike was pretty infamous!![]()
What really grinds my gears is when Aprilia owners name their bikes "April".
Or when Suzuki owners name their bikes "Suzi"
Can you get any more fuking unoriginal? So friggin annoying. If you're gonna be dumb & name your bike, at least be original.

A lot of people have nicknames for their bikes too, though apparently it's not a common practice with NESRians.
I'm with everyone else here. My bikes' nicknames were "the Triumph," "the Honda," and "the Wee-Strom." But now that I've sold the Wee and bought a Triumph Tiger, I have to be more specific -- so now they're "the Bonnie," "the Honda," and "the Tiger."

Buddy used to call my 2WD, four-banger, Ranger pickup with the vinyl floor 'truckzilla'. But I'm not sure it was a compliment.
The Aprilia is Gianna, hot little Italian.
The FJR is Mary-Ann, quiet and comfortable.
Think I'm gay, yeah I don't fucking care.
Never named them. Funny you posted this though, the guys at the bicycle shop were trying to come up with nicknames for my bike this afternoon.
On a related note, a friend of mine in Hawaii named his dick "Tiny Dancer."
I doubt you are the only one that has a nick-name for your bikes...
After the first few posts - others probably just don't want to admit it.
I've never had a nick-name for any of my bikes - but my pit-mates do and they came up with Rex for mine - who cares. I don't actually plan on talking to my bike.![]()
