Guys,
What process do you use to clean the interior liner of your helmet? I've always done it with a towel / water, and some mild PH soap (with a rinse to follow).
The other day, I was checking out spray cleaners / fresheners in one of the local shops - have any of you used them? Are they easy and do they really work? I'm about ready for a lid cleaning...

I remove the cheek pads, faceshield, and whatever else will come off first. Then i take a bucket and put some laundry soap (Tide) in it and fill it with warm water and then do the unthinkable and soak the helmet in the bucket for 10 minutes or so, put the cheek pads in there also. I then rinse it out with a hose until all the soap is gone and hang it out to dry. it smells clean and the liner is once again nice and soft when it dries. I've done it 3 times to my Arai and after 3 years, it's still in new condition inside and out.

Mark,
Are you serious? Hasn't this effected the interior crushable liner, or adhesives that mount the padding to that liner?

I just throw a fabric softener sheet in mine if it's gonna sit for a while. Other than that, I'll just leave the shield open....
I've also heard good things about that Fabreeze shit. Just don't go overboard with it!!
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
