if you had follow a group you would have been ok because the guy ahead would ahve slow down even if you didn't see the sign. that would be my suggestion.

i was over confident before without a track day.

not sure what a hairpin sign would look like or whether it was a "true" hairpin... could have just been a really tight turn, almost 180 degrees around... :dunno:

anyway i talked to some of my coworkers who also ride that road a lot, and apparently riders go down quite often on that road... people just like to go fast on it cuz it's a fun road, and then these tight blind curves sneak up on ya.... :doh:
