Ferry game, the one down river is open?

according to the web, ferry is open May 1st - Oct 31, 7:00 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.
but no go today

They have a ferry that crosses the river? I always used a bridge. Can't make out the words on the sign, either to tell where it is.
