So after my lowside and my knee meeting the curb and blowing up like a balloon I think some armored leather pants are in my future. I was thinking full leathers but if I just do pants then I can wear the jackets I have while only having to carry my dress pants to work. There are two I've seen so far that I'm thinking about...the links are below. If anyone has any opinions or recommendations then leave them.
And just to get it out of the way i've packed up my vag, not a homo, and don't like the breeze from buttless chaps.

For just work commuting purposes, I am going the route of an overpant so I don't have to change when I get to work, just unzip the overpant and go.
I picked these up:
FirstGear HT II Textile Motorcycle Overpants :: New Enough, LTD
The armor is decent and the removable liner seems like it would make it pretty friendly for different temps not to mention the waterproof factor for the inevitable riding in the rain.
Now if I could just find a waterproof laptop backpack lol.
Timbuk2 Classic Messenger Bag. It ain't a backpack, but it's waterproof and designed for pedal-bike riders. I do plan on double-wrapping my laptop in it ("waterproof" neoprene sleeve inside the vinyl-lined messenger bag), but it should work just fine.
For the OP, I like my Teknic Sport pants, but they seem to have been largely discontinued...if you can find the right size left in stock, you may be able to get a good price. Do keep in mind that it makes life a bit easier if your jacket and pants are the same brand, so they can zip together; if they're not, you can usually have the matching half of the zipper added (they usually come with the extra half), but you'd want to find someone who's a capable tailor or seamstress to do that.
Another option for leg protection is to combine standalone armor (e.g. Icon Field Armor or the Knox Cross Guards) with an abrasion-resistant pant.
I have a pair of the Fieldsheer Sport Air pants and they're great. Really thick CE impact protection in the knee and a decent sized velcro piece for knee pucks, should you decide to use them.
I got them from Sandhills Powersports:
Fieldsheer Sport Air Leather Pants > Pants - Men > Street > SandhillsPowersports.com
Best bags out. Made in Portsmouth, NH.
BaileyWorks Bags: Messenger bags, laptop bags, duffels, made in the USA
i thought about overpants but i want something that tucks into the boots.
