I can't believe it. My bike and I went down on Saturday. My bike isn't yet registered (long story that I won't get into) and it was such a beautiful day Saturday that I couldn't resist but take it out of the garage. My husband was psyched. I got on all my new riding gear and started her up. I was going to take her around the block but I rode her around my yard instead (still paranoid of all the sand out there). Ends up that I rode over some dog poop of all things!!! I feel like such an idiot. When I put on the brake on the driveway, my bike slid...and the next thing I knew I was going down. *sighhhhhhhhhhh* The bike just got a little scratch and that's it. I'm fine and the one thing I got out of this "crappy" experience was that I learned what it feels like to dump it. *siiiighhhhhhhhh*

Too old to rock and roll, too young to die.
That's a real shitty way to start the season, but it's great that you didn't get hurt and the bike only has a minor scratch. Could have been a lot worse.
that flat-out sux, NinjaChic... but-- as early-in-the-season dumps go, it coulda been a lot worse. glad you & the bike are OK; and now you've got it out of your system for the year![]()

Sorry to hear of your misfortune, and I am glad you came out alright.
There is something to the adage that there are two kinds of riders.
Those that have been down, and those that are waiting to go down.
