    Good Deal?

Currently watching a set of used wheels with rotors for the R6 on ebay... they have a NEW Bridgestone Battleaxe BT002 (seller says DOT street/racing tires?) on the front, and a barely used rear for $300.... seller has 500 "good feedback" ratings and says rims and rotors are straight... Go for it? I'm thinking even if I decide not to run the tires I could sell them, and it would still be a good deal for an extra set of rims for trackdays to avoid riding on tires with flat spots from all the highway miles to and from rides all summer...

I'd say that's a pretty good price. Wheels tend to hold their value even on older models. Smart logic... having an extra set of wheels will allow you to run a true race compound, which will make your trackday experience that much better! Have at it!

    Are the rotors guaranteed straight?

It's a good deal until you find out you have to buy a round of rotors.

Yeah.... sellers says "rims are straight" and tires are balanced... I don't see a guarantee but they have no negative feedback, and 500 plus transactions on ebay... soooo

If I end up needing to replace the front rotor, what kind of $ am I looking at?

Seems like a good deal. Even if you have to replace the bearings and swap your current rotors over, $300 ain't bad, and if ya can win 'em for less, even better.

    Re: Good Deal?

under $370 shipped I'd say go for it. Last year I paid $480 shipped for a set of CBR1000 wheels with rotors with junk tires on them. never even used the rotors because they are a different size than whats on my bike.

for $130 less she can have them picked up by taking a step out the front door rather than driving a couple hours.

I would say pass, I dont see a need for spare wheels unless you are racing, 300 is another trackday.

You would get more benefit from spending the money on Hotel rooms the night before your track day and arriving at the track rested and prepared.

    Re: Good Deal?

3 hours left on the auction so I bought them.... if I change my mind can always resell I guess. They came off a track bike, I talked to the seller on the phone and rear tire has 2 laps on it, rotors guaranteed good, and straight.

    Glad it worked out, Lauren.

Check all the wheel bearings before you mount them on your machine. Just spin the inner bearing race with your finger and if you feel *any* crunchiness, it's bad.

I have the tools for wheel bearing replacement if you reach that point.
