yes, it could, you have to know how the system works for building new roads

First of all NO highway is proposed at this time, there is only a study that has been funded,

first they have to determine a need, once a need is justified, then they study routes

being familiar with the area and the process, I am confident any route near Deals Gap will be quickly eliminated

A new road could and probably would actually benefit Deals Gap by taking cage & truck traffic away

there are already signs advising trucks to take alternate routes, but there are no alternate routes, maybe one should be built
