Claire is taking her motorcycle course next weekend so I have been checking out bikes online. I came across a 06 Honda CB600F Hornet for 2300. No issues, new tires and battery and 7k miles. The guy is hurtin for money and needs to sell. Has anyone here had experience with these bikes?

Hornet is a great bike. has the old F3 motor in it and a good relaxed seating position. its a good deal, grab it up
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

Great starter bike. It's a Honda...you couldn't kill it even if you wanted to.
Give him 2g's and take it home!![]()

Looks like a good deal for a slick first bike.
I can't take a damn thing you post seriously with that avatar though haha
Good article from '06 comparing the Honda 599 (Hornet) to the 650R, SV650, and FZ6:
Middleweights on a Mission (Rider, April 2006)
The 599 seems like a great bike, they feel extremely small and light, and with about 85 hp at the wheel, it should be quite a blast to ride. The Hornet's a hugely popular bike in Europe, and not just for beginners.
