Sooo you've passed cars but you don't usually unless they are going too slow, in which case you pass cars?

I pass over the double yellow. No shame.

:stupid:
I have a friend who commented on this video, on Facebook. He stated: "...this reckless behavior gives all bikers a bad name," and tries to further imply that reckless vehicle operation is more common amongst motorcyclists than cagers. He pointed out stunting on highways (I've only witnessed 1 highway stunt, ever), dangerously high speeds (not certain how he is quantifying that), and a fair share of bikers taking the law into their own hands (lolwut?).
I really want to argue with people who think like this, but it's just wasted breath.
In Vermont.....
In many states it is legal to cross a double yellow to pass an "Obstruction" such as a bicycle or tractor.
Whether a car going 20 under the limit (as claimed) is such an obstruction remains to be seen.
I have no qualms whatsoever about safely passing a car going 20 under on a double yellow and would use the tractor and bicycle examples in my defense if pulled over and/or ticketed. It's just paint on the road and if you can show that what you did was not unsafe, it is possible to avoid a violation on the side if the road or beat a violation in court (I've done that...). That said, if you are going to pass on the double yellow, it's not that hard to make sure you do it when there's no law enforcement looking (something I learned the hard way).
I am that guy .
Being that I ride mostly in Vermont.
I pass anywhere, anytime, when it is legal and zero danger, to myself or others.
Sorry for spoiling it for everyone.
I'll try to grow up soon.
Same here and I'm sure we're far from alone. As long as it's safe I don't know why there should be any issue with cagers getting passed.
