Haha, what an awesome day. MSF was such a great experience, highly recommend it to anyone even slightly considering it. I took my course at www.pvriders.com, and one of my instructors was actually a friend of Karaya Ones (Dave) so he was a fun guy to have as a teacher. His name was Chris French and if Karaya reads this, and sees Chris, send along my thanks, he was great!
So with me being a very new rider with maybe 75-80 miles under my belt, I kept my riding to a minimum as to avoid teaching myself bad habits before taking the MSF. But anyways, I was doing the drill where you take straight off, take a 90* turn, finish the turn, head down a short straightaway and then bank into a 135* turn. Well halfway through the 2nd turn I'm pulling pretty good and then I hear pppppppshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhsssssshhhhh as the peg feeler dragged the pavement.Haha, I started laughing like a little girl immediately, and Chris saw and heard it and gave me a thumbs up and kind of started laughing himself.
Only managed to do it on the left, he told me I had another inch or so on the right turns before I dragged. I managed to do it another few times doing the offset slalom turning to the left. This was on a Honda Nighthawk 250 that I managed to touchdown.
Overall had an awesome weekend, am incredibly happy that I took the course, met some awesome people and would highly recommend it.

I went over the line once by like a foot in my final test. I know its cause I pulled my eyes off the turn and stood the bike up a little too much. But during the practice runs I had a fine time with them, I actually started trying to do them faster to challenge myself a little.

I'm actually going to be asking for a day or two off from work in the next week or two, if I give you enough advance notice, maybe we could make a day ride out of it.Originally posted by pulski
