Swapping the dirt tires off the CRF I bought for some scooter tires. I ended up puncturing the tube I bought pretty badly. I tried patching it, but it didn't hold air overnight. So, back to the drawing board and looking for a new tube locally.
Does anyone know of any scooter dealerships in MA/RI?
I am calling all of the motorcycle dealerships in the area and none seem to have the scooter tube size I need, which is a 4.00/4.60-14.
The other question is, is there anyone one here that is good at truing a spoked rim? I may be in need.
Dude. Use a stock tube.

Tire I bought is wider. I'm just going by what Josh mentioned and I what found from asking on the mini racing forum section of the WERA board. (http://www.cb450stuff.com/tires/). Stock is a 3.00/3.60-14, substantially smaller.
only place i'd think of is maybe redstreak motors in marlboro?
Just have them order it. They should be able to get it by tomorrow.

I take it you never have inflated a tube that's not in a tire before. They stretch. A lot. A stock tone will do the job just fine without stretching the rubber beyond its capability.

These tubes are susceptible to both pinch flats and wear flats on mini-tards so I tend to prefer not undersizing the tube, although the smaller tubes are easier to install initially. Worst case if you undersize it'll install cleanly and then fail early. When you go to install the new tube, put just a little air in it. Not enough so that it has any pressure or tension, but enough so it's not a pressed flat washer. That'll help prevent folds and keep it slightly off the rim and sidewalls while you work the bead on.
I did some video research on installing and found just what you mentioned. Unfortunately, the first rear tire/tube I installed I got all the way around and it was the very last bit of the tire I had to get onto the rim that bit the tube. I immediately heard the air I had put in (to aid, as suggested) rush out. I know I was screwed.
These things aren't cheap either. $13.99 + shipping. This time, I ordered 2, just in case.

What would you do without the internets?

Gee wouldn't know what a sumo mini was and would cruise around the pits with his straw hat and knobbies.
