I had one...a 01 Mille R with the full Ohlins and full leo vince exhaust yada yada...Cool bike, great power and fun to ride.
Solid bikes, fun to ride. I have an '04 that may be up for sale soon.
Had a 03' R... a lot of money and it sucked
Yellow light, green light, heart stands still...
I had a red 2000 1/2. I set it up like the Mille R with the full Ohlins and OZ rims.
Unique bike, great power and fun to ride. The down side is that its a heavy tank. I had it on the track at VIR, Pocono and Loudon ... not flickable in the least, in fact it was just a pig trying to get it turn and change direction. Parts are pricey and the bike doesn't have much resale value.
Also, there were a couple of tech bulletins issued (I think the clutch), make sure bike was updated.
The exhaust on that bike looks like a Renegade. A buddy and I helped design the exhaust for the Aprilia Mille with the UK manufacturer. We used to operate Renegade USA, the US distributer for the UK manufacturer. Did that for a while until the economy went south after 9/11. The UK manufacturer shafted us out of over $15k of sales so we closed down. Not too long after I think Renegade UK closed up shop. I haven't seen Jorge (owner of Renegade UK) around since them. But I digress....

definitely fun to ride. and getting to be a little too much for this old man lol. i've got a 2000.5 mille i bought in 02(9044 miles) now has only a little over 13000 on it. i'm entering into the first stages of a breakup of an 11 year relationship and i need to liquidate some of the toys to try to buy a place. mine will be for sale very shortly. gotta see what it needs to have done to be mechanically sound and go from there. if anyone may be interested pm me. especially the original poster of this thread.

Great fun to ride. Very comfortable for tall riders. Motor (Rotax) is gorgeous and solid. May be hard to gets parts for.
LOL, "not flick-able at all"... you need some setup help. Does it turn like a 600? Nope. Can it turn with anything out there, pretty close.
Great bikes, a touch heavy, but anything of the vintage is. All day comfy for road, torque out the wazoo, and love the sound. GO FOR IT.
They wreck pretty good... Ask Motofreak.
