Happened to pass by Parkway Cycles today so I stopped in. The salesperson says they have the red 05' 600 I've been looking for at their New Hampshire store. They went to $8200 OTD with $1785 for the Ninja. I told them I had to think about and called Adrian on my cell. He said to offer 8K OTD with no trade so I called them back and left a message for the salesguy. Is this dealership pretty good? Do you guys think this would be a good deal? MSRP is $8399...
decent...it is usually like $500 for prep and assembly
there are a lot of dealers that won't move at all from list...
I HATE dealing with Parkway...personally.
Parkway, Cycles 128, GBM and the other one in Plaistow that used to be Gilly's...are all the same franchise.
I have just dealt with too many employee's they hire that honestly know nothing and see you as money in their pocket.
..When I met you like a month ago at MM, wasn't that Ninja BRAND NEW with like 50 miles???
Got bored pretty quick, huh?
When I bought my '02 R1 brand new it was the first year of that generation and was in high demand........I couldn't find ANY dealer that would offer less than $100 below MSRP.
I think I bought the bike for $10,200.
With no trade to sell it about $400 below MSRP doesn't sound bad, but I would rather buy a well maintained used bike personally.

"fuckit!"
Yeah, bored of it, especially after making the mistake of riding Adrian's GSXR. But, in all fairness, the Ninja has 1750 miles on it, not 50!Originally posted by Nazo

Bigred, they said that would include the prep and assembly, which was right around $500...
I just like new because you know you're not getting someone else's problem - I've had too many used cars that I've had so many problems with but since getting my truck new I have had no issues (knock on wood) - so I'm just inclined to stick with new when I can...
but hmmm, no one seems to really love Parkway. I think my biggest issue right now is not having seen the bike and knowing it actually exists. I could see it listed on the computer, but I can just hear the "oh, it's already sold, how about this blue one instead?" That always seems to be how that goes...
Ive heard bad things about those dealerships as well, but, if you know what you want and they have it at a good price, do it. Just dont get roped into any servicing with them.
I love Parkway - they buy Michelin and Motul from me.

Putting his hands in the air, like he just doesn't care.

Stay away from Parkway and GBM. They have the same owner. Both are sleezy/slimy dealers with inept service departments. The only dealer in the area I actually like is Riverside motorsports - but they don't do suzuki's.
I like the one here in Billerica where Adrian got his GSXR. I might just wait for an 06' and get it over the winter from them when business is slow...I know what I want, but I'm not in a huge rush to get it.
